Thanks everyone! I think I am gonna go with madison because I came up with cute names to go with it! But tell me what you think of all these:

Madison Grace
Callie Rose
Mackenzie Paige
Caralyn Faith(i realize how i spelt it)
Cody(i need a middle name)
Connor Michael

I need 2 more boys names that begin with the same letter! Thanks!

Technically, I'd lean more toward Madeleine, Madeline, Magdalene, Adelaide, Adeline, Adelia, Adela, Adele, etc. One of the far less popular options with the added advantage of NOT identifying a little girl (assuming from "Addie") as the "son of" anyone. ;)

But of these two, I far prefer Addison. That was at least refreshing a few years back, before it became the natural alternative to overused, overly-trendy Madison. Certainly, it's now nearly as common, literally rising by leaps and bounds every year (one of the largest single-year jumps most of us can remember! LOL). Still preferable to Madison, I'll admit, but no less common.

Madison sounds like a boy's name to me. Plus it's rooted in the word "mad".

Addison is better, but if it's a girl, shouldn't it be "Addidaughter"?

Sorry, but parts of names that don't fit the gender (i.e. "son") tend to trip me up. "Addie" is nice though - why not make that her name in its entirety?

Madison was the 3rd most popular name last year - why do you want your daughter to have the same name as half of her class?
