I got married and my husband adopted my daughter. The bio. father still has to pay child support every month. He says that he still has all rights to see her. Can someone please tell me that he is wrong? Please tell me that he has no say over my child?

My friends daughter just named her DAUGHTER Aubrey. I asked her why she named a girl a boys name and she said it was because she liked it. To me it sounds like a name for an English Butler (and definately a BOY'S name,) what is your opinion? (I feel sorry for the kid, I know she'll be teased in school and probably end up with severe emotional problems.)

My two year old boy is slowly cutting out of his day time sleeps. He starts to get grumpier in the afternooons however still fights his sleep. The advantage is that he's ready for bed earlier in the evenings and i can have some time with rest of family. It is a long day, other son's still napped until three years. I'm sure this is common, just want to hear similiar stories. Thanks...

Does anyone have any experience or information on home massage during pregnancy?? I trust professionals to keep me and my baby safe during a massage, but our budget doesn't allow me to see a professional very often (luckily I have a great husband though!!) I've heard that certain types of massage are bad if you're pregnant and I was just wondering if there is anything we should avoid.

My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex in a hot tub and then 3 days later I got my period on time.But it was irregular.I hardly even bleed it was more like spotting for a few days.I always have a heavy period and a long one(5-6 days).I am not on the pill and he used the pull out method.I know this dosent prevent pregnancy.And we would both be excited if we were expecting.I would only be 2 weeks along. Could I be pregnant? I just have this feeling that I am.

I am concerned about my nine month old daughter. She has started banging herself against her highchair and against her crib rails (we took the bumpers out when she started to pull up). She seems to do this only when tired or cranky. She's been a "rocker" and a "head bopper" to music for quite some time, which we always thought was cute. But now I'm worried (probably because I work with kids w/ autism.
She's very normal/bright otherwise. She responds to her name and to simple sentences, makes great eyecontact, claps and waves bye. She's quite expressive and tries very hard to talk and communicate, so I wonder if this is just her way of letting out frustration. Of course the new mom in me is scared it is more serious. Is this something I should take her to the doc for or let it run it's course?

Maybe I just wasn't in tune with my body well enough. But I was wondering if anyone out there has experienced it, how common it is and how to tell the difference of if I am starting my period early (cycle day 21 of a very regular 30 day cycle) or if its implantation bleeding? So the questions are: have you ever experienced it? How do you tell the difference? Thank you!

I'v heard that 50% of people who look into adoption decide it's not for them. This is for various reasons, some include the aspect of open adoption is scary as adoption is not anonymous anymore, also the cost of adoption can be high, also the wait to be able to adopt an available child can be from 2 years to 7 years or longer in some cases (I know one lady who waited 15 years and finally adopted an infant at the age of 46), and for some people it's because they always wanted a child of their own flesh and blood, and they realize this after they've looked into adoption and thought long and hard about it. For myself, it's because I don't want social workers to be involved in what should have been a natural experience for my husband and I, ie-having a child. I decided I don't want a baby that badly and am happy being childless. (although I do want to be a foster parent) Do you think I will be judged negatively because of this for the rest of my life? It seems like it to me.

I see a lot of b-mothers who were told that they needed to do "what's best for thier baby"

You know give the baby to better people.

What if everyone having a child had to live to that standard... Angolina Jolie would have all of our children. Although I'm a great mother there's always "better parents" than us.

I know there is a true need for adoption, I've adopted. I would never have done it just 'cause someone wanted a "better home" for their baby. It needs to be because there's NOT EVER a suitable home.

My one month old son breastfed very good from the first hour he was born, but recently my husband introduced my milk in a bottle to him and ever since he hasn't been the best eater. He'll latch on and eat for a few minutes than latch back off, and this doesn't happen at every feeding, but it happens at least a few times a day. How can I get him to drink my milk better, or is he slowly going to refuse my milk until he won't take it anymore? I really want to try to breastfeed for at least 6 months! This just makes me soo upset. Could my milk supply not be enough for him? I'm on progerstin birth control only.. He also doesn't burp that well either, we've tried many positions, but usually nothing works. So that causes him to spit up pretty much after every feeding, and than after about a couple of days without burping he'll get really fussy for a few hours and nothing we do will help him. I think it's because of gas.

If some one can help me please!?

My friends and bf just died in a car crash today. Please help, I dont know what to do with myself. They were going to a party/bbq this afternoon and I was suppose to be in the car with them but I was grounded so my parents wouldnt let me go. I was suppose to be in the car, I wouldve died! I was on the phone with them when they were about to leave and thats the last I will ever talk to them! My friend who was driving lost control when an animal ran across the road and they crashed into a tree. I am freaking out right now, they were all so close to me and now they are gone! My son is 2 and I just started to pottytrain him he does great when it comes to going pee . He wears his big boy underwear and says mommy got to go potty. but when he has to poop he says nothing and it is just a gross mess to clean I just don't know how you get them to go poop any advice would be great
