I'm 34 weeks along and planing a natural birth in a hospital at the moment.

However the closer I get to my due date, the more scared I get about the pain.

I'm TERRIFIED of needles however. I had a miscarriage at 16 weeks and had to have a emergency D&C with an epidural.

I FAINTED when I saw the needle (I've never fainted in my life accept this once)

I don't know if I would do it again, I think I would panic and start attacking the doctors if I ever saw that needle again.

So what did you do? Pain medication? Natural birth? What was your impression? Are you happy with your decision to do what you did?

Any advice would be nice!

i expected my midwife would begin checking my progress at week 36, but she didn't, so i let it go, again at week 37 she didn't check, and then at week 38 i finally asked her, and she said she wasn't going to check me at all, that she didn't see a purpose in it as i clearly wasn't in labor..

does this seem strange to anyone else? i don't find being examined pleasent but i would like to know things like if i am dilated at all, if i have effaced, wouldn't you want to know those things??
I go back in tomorrow again for my week 39 check-up and i am throughly discouraged, i don't know if i've made progress or not..

my husband says i should just go with what the midwife says..

what would you do?

My 8 year old daughter vomited all over her floor early this morning so I kept her home from school. It is now 3:30p.m. and she's been asleep all day. She hasn't been up for more than a few minutes. She hasn't eaten or drank anything all day and she insists that she doesn't want anything. She's not running a temperature and hasn't been at all.

What can I give her besides Pedialyte that will keep her nourished? She hates the Pedialyte stuff.

Hi Everyone,

I'm thinking about buying a wagon for my kids (3 yr old and 8 month old). At walmart.com, they range in price from $50-$140.

What features should I look for in a double kids wagon? Also, if you own one, do your kids enjoy it? Where do you use the wagon (park, camping, walks, mall, etc)?

Thanks for the advice.

I have found out that im six weeks pregnant and am not sure what to do. My boyfriend who i have been with for four years doesnt like the idea of starting a family as we havent got a house. We have booked to go travelling in April and was meant to be going for a year.

He says he doesn't think he's ready and he thinks having a baby should be planned. He doesnt want to miss out on doing things in his life.

A big part of me wants to keep the baby and use the tickets for travelling to go on a 3 week holiday before i have the baby. I havent been able to talk to my parents about this, im 21 years old and he's 24. We both have fairly good jobs.

I dont know what to do.........as i dont want to be the one to ruin his life

In the past I have had two teachers that have become convicted of molesting or sexually harrassing children in there families or even in the school. I mean what the heck is wrong with those people? I need to know what in their right mind would make them want to do something like that to little kids. Be serious and no fooling around with stupid comments.

Hi everybody!

My husband is a scientist and has invented and patented a breast pump filter that attaches to pumps and takes out toxins and contaminants in breast milk when pumping. I have gotten mixed responses from people so I thought this might be a good forum to see what people think about it. We are 100% for breastfeeding but believe that when you need to pump, why not use a filter that can take out many of the contaminants that are in mother's breast milk? What do you think?

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!!

I had a dream that I had a job killing animals while pregnant.
When the baby was born, two came out! and the DR said they were both dead.. but left them in bed by my room anyway.. so I took one home and checked on it and it was alive!
So I was all happy.. but I remembered I had school.. so I wrapped it up in a blanket, got my back pack and hopped in the car.
half way there I realized I had no money for diapers... food... nothing for the baby and I hadnt used a car seat. So I pulled over and gave it away to the first person who'd take it

What could this dream mean???

This is after she is robbed of her nurturing her young then the animal suffers more abusive tragedy of being robbed from her breast milk for feeding humans later in her very short life time – second she is now being tortured in the most gruesome ways after helping the human society feed off of there breast – third she is sent to a slaughter house or factory. Now is she safe or is this a good world that we are living in? You tell me?

I am 32 weeks pregnant with my second baby. My first was delivered via cesarean solely because he was breech (not because of any pregnancy or delivery complications). This pregnancy has also been uncomplicated, and he is in the vertex position. My doctor asked me if I wanted to do a repeat C-section or try a VBAC; I told him I wasn't sure yet, and he told me to decide within the next 2 weeks (in case baby comes a little early). I've done a lot of reading on VBACs and I'd like to try it only to have the experience of both types of births, but with the risks involved with a VBAC, however small, I'm not sure if I should just do a C-section since it's "safer". I've been told by a nurse (not by the doctor) that I may want to do a repeat cesarean only because my other child was born so close to this one (he will be 16 months old when this second one is born), and having a vaginal birth may put additional unnecessary strain on my body. I just can't decide. Any thoughts or suggestions?

My son was born with a small strawberry birth mark on his left shoulder blade. I pointed it out to his doctor, and she said it's common for them to get bigger, sometimes to the size of a quarter, but then disappear completely. I noticed in the 3 1/2 months since he's been born that it's gotten a little larger, but I wanted to know what it is exactly and how long it took your baby to outgrow it. Is there something I should put on it as a treatment or should I leave it alone? Also, this is kind of silly but would the stretching and moving he does with his arms stretch the skin and make it bigger? Thanks so much!
