I remember that feeling all too well. I don't remember having any remedy for it but waiting it out. It does get better but it could take several weeks yet. I had a job where I was on my feet all day so that helped with the drowsy thing. During my dinner hour I'd go and sit in my car in complete silence and just close my eyes. It helped some but there are medicines you can take for the queeziness if that continues. Maybe you could arrange a short period of time that you could work 6 hour days or something. Talk to your employer-maybe he/she has dealt with similar issues with other workers.

I have had three children, and believe me, the first 3-4 months you stay tired, nausious. When you open your eyes in the morning, have crackers sitting on your bedside table and start eating them for the nausiousness. It helps...really because it soaks up all the acid in your belly. In the evening after work take a 30 minute time out. Lay on your bed or couch or where you feel most comfortable with your feet propped up about 6-8 inches. Just relax (no phone, no tv). This helps you to get your second wind....now you can go cook supper or do whatever you need to do.

Someone is renting on my property who is also pregnant. She is very small sized, and got really impacted by the pregnancy. She could not work at all.

Now... 5 weeks? I'm no expert, but that sounds a little soon. Nonetheless, talk to your employer about your situation. I'm sure you can negotiate something.

Make sure that you take your prenatal vitamins. They will make you feel better. Try to get a good nights rest. If it is possible I would go to bed earlier. Make sure you eat right too. The baby takes a lot out of you. Congratulations!
