Hi there, My 17 year old son is fascinated with Thailand and wants to do a 4 week holiday from this gap year company. I'm a bit afraid to allow him to go as he would be going alone and meeting the folk in thailand itself. he would have spare time to do as he pleases and i'm worried he wont be safe alone. there will be others doing this gap holiday but obviously he wont be childminded as such.
Am I being too over protective?
He will hate us if we don't let him go and can we stop him anyway? If we dont let him go now he will go when he's 18 anyway without our permission,
What shall we do?

Ok I had my period Jan 31 and by ovulation calculators I would have ovulated between Feb. 10 thru 16. well you know me and my bf had sex during this time. I know I am not due for my period until the 28th but night before last I thought I started but it was only really light spoting. I took a pregnacy test yesterday and It showed a very faint line on it. But after a couple hours the line was gone. What do you think?

I want to put my daughter into some kind dance such as jazz or tap. On the other hand i also want to get her into Judo, or Karate to learn how to defend herself from the freaks that are wandering around our neighbourhoods, but she doesnt want to. Should I put her into dance so she can have fun or self defence class where she will be bored,. I cant afford doing both so I need advice to which one I should pick.

So my baby was sick a few nights ago with a fever and I called my mom for advice. My stepdad picked up and told me since my baby has a fever to dress her really warm and rub rubbing alcohol on her body. Well I thought it was pretty funny. I've had all kinds of advice given to me that makes me laugh for days. What the weirdest and funniest thing someone has told you to do that made you laugh? Did you try it and did it work?

im sorry i keep asking this question, but i seriously cant stop thinking about it and freaking out, i had sex once which was on february 1st and i used a condom, i havent had sex since that day because i felt so guilty, the day after the intercourse i had a bad stomach ache and then a few days later started getting nauseas and felt pressure on the right side of my abs, i took a pregnancy urine test at the doctors office 15 days after intercourse and it was negative, for a week all symptoms went away, my period is due in 2 or 3 days and im afraid im not going to get it because i have been beyond stressed out, my symptoms are back now i have constipation, peeing like crazy, my breast feel bigger or heavier i dont know, and im thinking about pregnancy again, i really dont know what to do, i swear i just need some answers that will calm me down, i just feel like crying cause that would mean i let so many people down

My 3 yr old has not eaten for 2 days and I am worried about her. She has been sick lately, but my 1 yr old has the same illness and is eating healthy. I have made all her fave foods and she still won't. She just won't eat and I don't want her to get any sicker. Help!

So, my doctor put my daughter on milk instead of formula...he said to slowly transistion...so she has been having milk mixed with formula for just over a week now...3oz formula in a bottle and 5 oz milk right now...but since she started this she has gone from 2 poops a day to 4-5...also if she has a little spitup (which she still did sometimes on formula) it smells really sour and looks a little curdled. Is this normal behavior in transitioning to milk?? Has this happened to anyone else?? Oh, and I'm pretty sure she is not lactose intolerant to those who will say that cause she has only spit up like 3 times in over a week. Any input would be appreciated...Thanks

Has anyone experienced what they have thought to be their normal menstrual cycle, but found out later that you were pregnant? If so, (this may get graphic if some explain in detail) can you explain whether or not if your cycle seemed the same or was there something different about it. Like the amount of days, if the flow was heavy or light, etc. I've heard that some woman can be pregnant and still menstrate regularly all the way up until there 7th month of pregnancy (not spotting, actual cycle). I've also heard that when some woman become pregnant and not know, that there cycle gets heavy for a day or so and then light, and then there cycle is over (2 - 3 day cycle). Any info would be appreciated. Ecspecially info from woman who have been through this. Thanks!!!!

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow afternoone, I am only asking now to get some opinions because I've heard a lot of doctors brushed preeclampsia off when women have actually had it. I am 36 weeks tomorrow, the past 1-2 weeks I've had really bad dizziness, headaches, can't catch my breath...almost like im hyperventilating to the point where I almost pass out. I even had to pull over on the interstate because I almost blacked out. I haven't checked my blood pressure, but at my last appointment the nurse said the top number was a little high. I always have a trace of protein in my urine at my visits, but Ive been told a trace is normal. I am not swollen or anything. Yesterday the pains that are usually in my lower abdomen were only in the upper abdomen, something I have never had.Also, for the past 4 weeks I've had a really uncomfortable pain on the right side of my mid-upper back, like right under my ribs. It doesnt get better with rest or movement. Does this sound like preeclampsia?

I am trying to decide is it better to get a live in house keeper/cook/help with school age kids or a live out a few times a week..
My husband who our marriage is just terrible will be with her all day while I am at work and I have a few more fears..
what if she:
steals things does not work out .
Have trouble getting her out of my house
has an affair with my husband
kidsnapps my children
abuses my children
lazy and have conflicts with her being dependable.
I really need some extra help as I am a professional person who is the only breadwinner (husband is hopeless-one of my long term goals) and all the household is on my shoulders.

affects my job proformance and I need a mental break-I can not afford a full time live out person-maybe a partime live out help but live in would be more affordable.

Have you had any experience or heard any good or bad exeriences with live in housekeeper/nanny?
is my fears wacked out or vaild....

My baby wakes up and plays which wakes me up i go make her food. Then I come in and change her and get her dressed for the day. We used to get dressed after the bottle/food but she has acid reflux so when we put her down she throws up. After we eat she watches baby Einstein for like 20 min then it is time for a nap

My 10 yr old has been having sexual feelings about girls he describes as tickley feeling in his stomach. He was cought by his younger sister "making out" with her life size doll and we have always been very communicative with him we have tought disease and such in health (we homeschool) We have told him sex was a private thing not for others to see and we have told him we do not want him doing these things yet. But just yesterday I over heard him talking with his friends about it again. We have talked about others touching him also. Is it normal to have all these feelings this young and what else can I do to help him understand he is not old enough for sex yet. We monitor his tv and games also so is he learning this stuff from his friends? My husband and I kiss if front of the kids, hold hands, hug but we don't do the things he is talking about around them. help please!

Hi, I had been nursing my 6 months old boy throughout the nite this lately. I think he had been taking my nipple to be his pacifier. Had try out different types of pacifier, and even gave him bottle. well yesterday i took a 2 hpt, and they were positive! Im so excited, but last month, on jan.24th, i had a very short, abnormal period. And when i took the tests, the line came up right away, and dark too. Do you think i was pregnant last month when the very short period came? Or is that possible? If so then i am around 8 weeks, if not then im about 4. Please help me out! Thanks so much!
