I eat a chocolate bar instead- far tastier than my thumb, but I have never used a dummy!

I do not but I did suck my finger until I was 8 and my brothers friend made fun of me. My daughter had a hard time giving her binky up. Everyone yelled at me that she had it too long. She gave it up at 6. It made her feel secure. I just told them she will not get married with it and when she is ready she will give it up! We had the binky fairy come and collect her binkys for the new babies in the hospital and she got a little toy as a reward.

No I have never had a habit like that.
I had a son who sucked his thumb until he was 5.

I think its not common for adults or teens to suck thier thumbs.

nope, but I have a friend who once in awhile still does. especialy when shes nervous or scared.
