All baby experts and health professionals tell you NOT to put cereal or food into the formula in the bottle. They can choke on it and also it promotes tooth decay. He is old enough to take cereal from a spoon and also a little fruit so maybe feed him really good before bedtime and be sure he is well burped.
Sometimes you just have to let them cry it out. If he is not wet, sick, or really hungry then you have to let him cry until he knows he has to go to sleep. It is hard to do this but it only takes about 3 nights of crying for him to realize you are not going to pick him up and he will then start to sleep through the night.
When you put him down be sure he has a full tummy, clean diapers and he is not sick.
of you can get Daddy to get up with him sometimes.
Good luck little Momma.

He may be having a growth spurt, but they can last way more than three days. More than likely he is "reverse cycling." he is not using you as a pacifier, although he may sometimes use a pacifier as a fake you.
Co-Sleeping is the answer to your sleep problems. not making the baby scream when he needs the comfort of your milk and presence after missing you all day.

It sounds like he could be going through a growth spurt.
Or, since you are working full time, he may also be trying to make up for bonding time that he misses out on during the day. Have you tried co-sleeping?

I went through the same thing with my baby. ( just turned 1 yesterday) She did it for about 2 months than she stopped. Your baby obviously drinks from bottles, ( you mentioned you work full time) so try giving him a bottle at bed time. It may help him sleep longer. You have to slowly wean him off of sucking just to fall asleep. It may just be a faze he is going through. Also try giving him a bottle when he wakes up at night instead of putting him on the breast. If you keep letting him to do it, than he may get even more use to it. Good luck!

Sounds like he's having a growth spurt.
That means that youll just have to wait till it passes. SHouldn't take more than three days, but if he's still doing it then it's time for him to cry it out.
At 6 months, a baby shouldn't be getting up more than once in the night to eat.

I am in the same situation with my 5 month old. He uses me as his personal pacifier at night (usually 2 - 5 times per night). My pediatrician advised me to try to let him cry himself back to sleep. She said that we all wake up during the night and usually fall back to sleep but some babies need to learn how to self soothe in order to fall back to sleep on their own.

Try also adding some baby oatmeal to some milk-so he is full longer. Really thin of course so it will come out the bottle head. Saved me with my son! He was a preemie and woke up every two hours for first yr and half!

Are you sure you are producing enough milk to feed him adequately? Maybe it's not enough for him anymore. Try some formula with some milk.
