a blanket for her ( live in wisconsin, its cold here)
the diaper bag, fully loaded, just in case
toothbrush/paste
a nightgown
comfy outfit to go home in for myself
chap stick
hair tie
hair brush
camera
camcorder
undies of course
nursing bra


anything else i should bring?
i feel like im forgetting somethings

If parents who are hear in YAHOO i would like to suggest watching it i watch it too and i have learned alot about raising kids because of that show. Tonight i was shocked to find the mother and father let there 6 and 3 year old go outside by thereselves unsupervised and the NANNY sure told them about it, i would never let my kids at that age go outside by themselves, i was really shocked by that. How do you feel about it? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR ANSWERS!!

If I am dialated a finger tip (which is like a centemeter right?) and my cervix is thinned then what does that mean? I mean i know that it obviously means my cervix is open but I always thought you were about to be in labor like within a week when you started to dialate... ... can anybody explain all this to me??

When I was in labor with my daughter,we didn't realize she was stuck so I kept pushing to no avail and she ended up being delivered by c-section.When she was out, she had a red mark across her forehead-apparently her sweet little forehead had been pressed up against my pelvic bone the entire time! She just turned 1, and the mark has diminished greatly but is still visible.Her pediatrician said it was "fat necrosis"-in other words, the fat cells in her forehead skin were pressed down and "died off" in that place on her forehead.She said she did not know if it would ever go away entirely or not, nor did she seem to think there would be any cream that would help either. 1) Has anyone ever experienced this with their child and what happened? and 2) Based on your own medical opinion, is there anything topical that would *pretty much* guarantee diminishing or erasing it? (It looks like just a whitish little place on part of her forehead- visible more at certain angles.) Thank you so much! :)

I have a friend whose a freshman in high school and she's dating a junior in highschool. her b/f wants to have a baby with her and she is not ready for it but since she likes babies she wants to have her own but not right now. after considering all the responsibilities for the babies and every single thing that she should consider...she's confused she doesnt know what to say. what should she do? and also what should i tell her to do?

I have a newborn baby, i got pregnant by accident and was unprepared. I am now getting married to a man i love, zthe father of the baby. I know it is early, but when the my child grows up and is able to understand about having a baby, and that stuff.... and when he asks about when he was concieved and everything....should i tell him he was an accident or would that make him feel unloved?

My step daughter is a really sweet and smart girl. She DOESN'T have ADD or ADHD- trust me. But her father and I have this problem with her taking FOREVER to eat, get ready in the morning, and do tasks around the house. She has no sense of urgency, even if we remind her that she's going to be late! The only thing that she is responsive to is when her dad yells at her like a drill sgt to get her butt in gear .
I'm not willing to compensate by waking up early or allowing for extra time to eat- I believe that she needs to learn how to quit being so slow. If she doesn't learn now (at age 9) I think it will just cause her more problems when she gets older. She'll just be one of those high schoolers who is always late to class and to work and will become an adult who is always slow and late.
We've tried taking her plate away after 30 minutes, embarassing her at school for being late, and asking her why she needs to be baby sat like a 3yr old. She just doesn't get it.What can I do

I am four months pregnant, and have pain in my left hip towards my buttock and in the back of my left thigh - sounds like sciatica, but i havent been to the doctor yet to see if it is for sure. The pain seems to intensify if i lay down for a while, then when i move, it hurts like hell so mainly seems to flare up at night time when i get into bed. Has anyone had anything similar and does anyone know how i can get some relief from this? I did have it a little bit before i was pregnant but it seems to be getting progressivley worse the further along i get - i hate to think how im going to be when im 7months - i wont be able to walk at all!! Please help!!

I have eaten steak twice since being pregant, both in the last 2 weeks, im now 3 months along, the steak is making me sick, any one else had this problem. i think i will avoid it for a while, but i love steak so it sucks, but obviously my body does not like it at the moment, just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experiance. thanks!

My son is 2 weeks old tomorrow, his umbilical cord has not fallen off yet, and it bleeds sometimes. The blood never gushes, but it will... ooze? out from around the stump. It doesnt seem to bother him, but there is an awful lot more blood than I'd like. Is this normal? he doesn't see the doctor untill next friday. Should I take him in earlier, or is the bleeding okay?

Have any of you had one drug-induced labor (using petosin)? What was it like?

If you've had a drug-induced labor and a labor that was brought on naturally without drugs, did you notice a difference?

The doctor wants to induce me if I don't go into labor by my due date because he's afraid of pre-eclampsia. I'm really healthy so far, but the history of high blood pressure means they don't want to take any chances.

What should I do?

I back about the possibles question about preganancy. I took to pregency tests they both came back negative.If I'm on my period could it be a chance that I'm preganat. but I don't think I'm on my period because I'm able to wear a pantyliner instead of a pad. On my previous question one person said it might be a miscarrage,could that be possible to be having a miscarriage and able to wear a pantyliner.I need help please give me some advice my doctor's appointment is on the 7th of march what should I do in the mean while.Oh keep in mind it's not like a normal period I only see blood after I pee, then comes the blood dripping does that sound like a period and it's red this time not like red pinkest like last month. and both bleedings accord around the time of my expecting period. One more thing If I was having a miscarry would the bleeding occur around the time of my expected period. I'm scared.
