Hi my baby is now 10 weeks old. up to last week she used to have 3 to 4 bowel movements a day, yellow very loose stools, which is ok so far. now last friday her stools turned green so i took her to my paediatrican and he told me that she had mild gastroenteritis. he told me the only thing to do is to continue breastfeeding. she has no fever and no throwing up either. just green stools about 5 times a day. i also called my breadfeeding consultant and she told me that as long as she is not throwing up or has fever, not to worry about it much. she is still have green stools and tomorrow will be a week since she has been having them. on the whole is seems fine, feeding normally, sleeping well and quite alert and smiling. could it be she is teething and did anyone every had this experience with breastfeeding?

Here is the problem. My daughter and her best friend sleep over with each other often. I have always dealt with the father. Well, I got to meet the mother. We spoke and I thought she was nice and things were fine. Yesterday my daughter's friend was very upset and told her that her mom doesn't want them sleeping over anymore because, and I quote, "Your mom thinks she's all that", she said "Just because I'm not a size 2 and spend all my time at the gym doesn't mean she's better than me" (I am small and I do work out, but she is not obese and is really quite pretty) She said I "curled my lip at her, gave her a dirty look, and she doesn't have to take that from me" WHAT? I never did that! Should I talk to her about it or just let it go? I hate for the girls to be punished because of this. They are best friends.

HYPOTHETICAL: A child's parents are divorced. The child tells the mother that she was raped by a boy from school and swears the mother to secrecy. The mother is obligated by court documents to inform the father, but the girl has "made her" promise she won't tell. TO CONSIDER: The father will be dealing with the daughter almost half the time, completely unaware that he is parenting a rape victim.

Please give your opinions; I would very much appreciate them.

I have HPV , but I have never had warts. I read that pregnancy can cause genitals warts to grow at a fast rate potentially causing the birth canal to be blocked or making urination difficult for the mother. Even if you never had warts will I still develop them during my pregnancy or is it only for those with certian types of HPV.

In the same bottle, I mean. My baby is 3 1/2 months old and, up until last week, I was pumping exclusively and having no real problems with milk supply. I'm supposed to be going back to work part-time next week and tried to cut out a few pumping sessions a day (to mimic what my new pumping schedule will be) and now I'm barely making enough milk for one day, let alone enough to store so that my baby can have breastmilk while I'm at work. While I focus on trying to increase my supply again, can I give bottles of 50/50 breastmilk and formula while I build up a reserve? My original intention was to give 100% milk all day and then give a formula bottle before bed but she wouldn't take it. She spit it out, made terrible faces, and then screamed like a banshee! Boy was she mad. I don't blame her, that stuff stinks! I feel terrible that I have to give formula at all, but I'm trying not to beat myself up too much about it. I'm doing the best I can and some milk is better than no milk, right??

I am 30 and engaged to get married. My family & Friends are super religious. I am pretty sure I am pregnant. I am so scared to tell my family & Friends. I am due, 2 months after we are married, so I have to come clean and tell them. I don't want my employeer to know I am pregnant, because I will have to face the shame and scorn of being a christain, who is not married and pregnant.. How do I hide a pregnancy? How long can I hide it?

I am scared.. What should I do??

I'm looking for positive responses. There are many questions that are so negative - Why does he do this? What do you wish he would do? - I'm looking for answers that will make me smile.
What does he do for you and the children that makes you say he's a good (or great) dad? What do/could you do to show that you appreciate him?

The first time I heard of this I thought it was fluke, now that it's the third time I need your opinions/insights.

I know some moms stay at home, and other moms work outside the home. I understand that. Some moms even have home based businesses while other moms work full time at the office and then some, I get all that.

What about moms that put their kids in daycare 10-12 hours a day and DO NOT work? They're not running a home based business, not attending college classes, not caring for an ailing parent, etc.

All 3 of them refer to themselves as stay at home moms. Are they really "stay at home moms" when their infants and toddlers are at daycare 60 hours a week?

My little girl was saying phrases at 11 months. I know that verbally, boys are a little bit slower. My daughter was very quick with everything though, she sounds out words to read and she is not even three yet. Just wondering what the normal learning curve was for boys

I usually take one in the morning before work but I forgot this morning. I work at a doctors office so I got a sample of another kind to take just this morning. Is it ok to switch like that? I think they are the same brand but my regular one is a tablet and these are chewable.

Are there not doulas available in your area? Is it because of the cost? Where you told by your dr. he doesn't work with doulas? Are you afraid a doula will misplace your husband/ significant other? Do you think doulas only do home and natural births? Do you think having a nurse at the hospital will give you the same care? Do you not know what a doula is and what the benifits of having a doula are? Did you want a private birth?

I haven't been able to feel comfortable during sex becuase I feel like the "rocking" and rythmic motion is bouncing the baby all around. And the last time we tried to have sex, it felt extremely tight and hurt. I couldn't stay wet and it really upset me. He wasn't upset because we found other ways to complete everything, but it makes me feel bad. I get scared sex is going to hurt the baby somehow. I'm 17 weeks pregnant...any advice?
