You know how you have to wait 40 days to have sex after you have a baby naturaly because we can get some kind of infection, is it the same when you have a c-section? I am going to have a c-section in about one month.

When is the latest period during pregnancy that you ( or a friend ) have discovered you are due to have twins? Just wondering when to stop worrying. I know a scan should show, but has anyone experienced a 'surprise' despite all this?
Thanks

he is four years old. he loves his blanket. his dad thinks it is time for him to stop using it but i don't see the problem with him having it. he doesn't take it to daycare with him or anything, he just likes to have it when he is going to bed or riding in the car. and the plus is that he'll use any of his twenty or so blankets. there isn't a certain one that he has to have. if it makes him happy and isn't hurting anyone why make him stop?

I'd like to run an idea by you and get some opinions. How would you feel about putting your daughter in a class, one on one, that would let her build her own doll house? The activities would be age appropriate. (not running saws or anything like that) One that let her pick out the design of the house, the wallpaper, the furniture, etc. The classes would take appox 10 days, 3-4 hours a day, you could schedule them any time or day, they don't have to be all together. What would you feel would be a fair price? Just want to know if you saw this kind of ad, how would you feel about it? Would you consider it? Do you think they would enjoy it? What ages do you think would like it most?

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and I'm starting to feel a "hard ball" in my stomach (my uterus) and it's starting to become a tad painful/annoying to sleep on my stomach. Is it just my imagination or should I stop sleeping on my stomach?

My daughter will be 2 in February and she already has a ton of toys. I would like her to receive clothes, books or movies instead of more toys. I have thought about including a list in her invitations that includes her clothing sizes and ideas for books and movies. Is this rude or okay?

Me and my wife gave birth to aour second child (girl) 3 months ago. Our first child is 2 years (boy). Even though we love our children to death neither me nor my wife feel as close to our second child as we did to our first. There was a huge disagreement over her name that caused about a month of misery for both of us. We ended up changing her name and now we are both happy with the new name. My wife feel this has a lot to do with how she feels. Is this normal? any suggestions to overcome this?

My 5 year old has had a very hard first year at school!
When school first started he didn't want to go and it took us about 3 months to get him to love going and then in December his teacher resigned. The school had his teachers aid take over until they hired a new teacher. Well my son doesn't know if he likes this new teacher and I have my own problems with her too. (I do not to talk about it in front of my son)I will try to talk to her about how my son is doing in school and she will just walk away without even saying a hello. Or if my son is throwing a fit in the hallway before school she won't come out and help me talk to him and calm him down. She's NEVER smiling or laughing with the children in her class. The teachers aid use to help out alot and was always smiling and playing with the children and now the teachers aid has been replaced and that was the one reasons why my son was wanting to go. and now he has a bully in the classroom and he's scared to go to school now. He wants to go to a new school.
Has anyone gone through this before? Please I need any ideas on how to handle this!

For the past couple of weeks Ive been having major signs of pregnancy. Last week I had my period (or I think it was), so I concluded that I was not pregnant. However, I only bled reguarly for 2 days then it just went OFF!!! Then I just spotted for a few more days. This is completely not normal for me b/c my periods are seven days with heavy bleeding for about five days (it has been this way for since I first got my period, never changed). Even after my period (or whatever it was) the signs seemed to get stronger. Such as very frequent trips to the restroom, sore nipples, tingling breasts, enlarged breasts (everybody says they're getting bigger, my breasts have been the same size for years so this is wierd) extreme moodiness (nobody even wants to be around me), increase hunger but I get full and extremely bloated after a couple bites, and lower back aches. I even have an increase of clear cervical mucus (im not ovulating). I took 2 off brand PT's but they were negative. I am so confuse

This has been puzzling me for a while. My son is a very gentle tempered 2 1/2 year old boy. When he's in the room with other kids, he is usually the observer and follower. I hardly ever see him being aggresive and grab other kids toy. He would either watch them play and get very excited. Or quitely pick out his own toy and playing in the corner.
However, when other kids come and try to grab his toy, or push down the block tower he just built, he get REALLY upset. I totally understand his feeling cause he feels his territory is being invaded. I tried to comfort him that just seems to get things worse. I usually have to let him cry it out for about 5 mins and then distract him to something else.

I am actually not very sure if I am doing the right thing. If I told him, "It's ok, just go play something else." Does that make him too easy to give up what he wants? But I definitely cannot tell him that "You have to fight for your toy." What should I do or how should I teach him to deal?

My step son, 7 yr old, is only with us 3 weekends out of the month. He always wants to spend one night that he is with us with his Grandparents and his Dad lets him. I have two children, son 12 and daughter 9 who we have all the time. Their natural father passed away. My stepson will not talk to me when I answer the phone. When I tell my kids not to do something he does it on purpose to see if I will tell him to stop. He is very wimpy and scared of everything, where my kids are outgoing and tough. They get hurt and keep going, he gets a scratch and cries until you put a bandaid on it. I can't relate to this kid. I find that I don't even like him. He is not polite and thinks it is funny to demand things. He tries to compete with my son who is 5 yrs his elder and get upset when he doesn't win. If he does win he celebrates so much that everyone is annoyed. I dred the weekends we have him and actually try to find things for my kids and I to do without him.
