I keep hearing people ask questions about being 60% efaced??? What does efaced mean ?? Also how do you know when baby has "dropped" do you feel it? My little girl has always been really low...thanks ......and ya this is my first. I feel stupid asking my doctor...he has a way of belittleing you for asking or not researching sooner. not sure if the spelling is right but when you are 60% effaced that means that your cervix is thinning, the cervix will thin almost completely out when it is time and during labor, the only way you really know if the baby has dropped is by the Dr. telling you, but I am on my third pregnancy and I know that when my babies dropped that means that they are in position for labor the head is down near the birth canal and you should be able to feel the rump of the baby facing towards your ribs (if they aren't breech), I always noticed less movement and having to pee a lot and of course the pressure from the weight is more on your pelvis area.

I'm also 32wks nearly 33 wks yippee my little fella dropped around 28wks i can tell because i have ALOT of pressure down there, and can breathe alot easier now ...... also midwife keeps writing in my notes that head is firmly down!!!
this is my 5th baby so is a little easier for me to know coz Ive been here before saying that i still get tons of Q'S and never feel its to silly to ask the doctor its the Q'S that you leave unanswered that are silly. so bug him as much as you need :-)
