I am 10 weeks preegnant and I have noticed a brown/white discharge sometimes and an odor I don't know if it's just me smelling it or what, I am wondering if is just a yeast infection and can I use something like monistat or something like that? I didn't have it when I was pregnant with my daughter Serious answers only

I wouldn't use anythig over the counter for that. I would have the doc check it out just to be sure.

I know I did have some discharge during my pregnancy last year and my doctor said it was normal. I also have had a yeast infection, but not during pregnancy. I think doctors recommend that you have a swab done for a yeast infection to make sure that is indeed what it is before buying an OTC for it. I used Monistat and it is messy! Use it at night as it is drippy. My yeast infection had some whitish discharge and a smell, but I was also super itchy and all swollen. With discharge in pregnancy I would be concerned about spotting and discharge in case of a miscarriage. Can you call a health info line?

Having brown discharge generally means old blood, not yeast. You should go to the doctor to get checked out just in case.

Definatly go to the doc to get a quick test. I take diflucan the yeast infection pill...im allergic to creams. But it works in 24 hrs and its safe while ur pregnant. I took it two times during this pregnancy already.

Well, the same thing happened to me when I was pregnant with my daughter... My doctor told me it was the mucus plug forming, but I would still suggest talking to an OB/GYN.
