My daughter did the same thing. She eventually go used to being in her crib. It helped when we made her room completely dark and the house silent.

Have you recently changed laundry soaps... it could be a smell issue
If she had been sleeping in a bassinet it could be a space issue.. try putting the bassinet into the crib...
it could be the mattress is cool after you have been holding her and it is a temperature issue try placing a hot water bottle in the crib for a few minutes to warm up up the spot where you are going to put her and remove it just before putting her down... has the baby been sleeping in a different room until now... could it be a noise issue... at the hospital, the nurses had a radio near my oldest crib... when we got home she reacted funny to the crib until we put a radio in her room.... where she was sleeping, is there a fan or a heater running... that sound could be comforting her?
my youngest was upset in the crib until my sister in law suggested swaddling her before putting her down.... turns out my youngest is just like her dad... needs to feel the closeness of the blankets to get to sleep.... another trick my mom showed me with my oldest was to put something in the crib that smelled like me and her ( I used a receiving blanket)... just having the smell nearby was a comfort to her..I hope I have helped and good luck with the wee one!!

Always put her to sleep in her crib. Keep a routine and if the crib is where you want her to sleep, then place her there. If you are putting her down in different places around the house, she may prefer one or the other. But this causes bad habits later. I have twins and I always put them in their bed. Remember routine is very important to babies and children. If they are eating, napping, bathing and going to bed at approximately the same time every day, you will have a happier baby and you will be a happier Mom.
Good luck!

At this age she can't reason yet, so one possible explanation is that something about that crib frightens her. It could be the colours, or the music (if it has music toys attached), or it may even be its (the crib's) position within the room. As adults we will not understand her perspective, and the child's fears often feel irrational if not downright silly, but to her they are real.

Something about the crib may be frightenning or annoying her so it's better that you don't put her on that crib, that will be the best
