About a Good Mother.

The other night I went to a class and my husband watched our 3 yr old daughter. When I came home she was laying on floor with her eyes closed. She was not asleep, just sort of singing a ditty with her eyes closed. I quietly approached her and leaned over her so that when she opened her eyes she'd see me. Which she did. But when she saw me, she said "Mommy! Did you come out of my eyes?" Now whenever I surprize her like this she say it, "Did you come out of my eyes?" What on Earth does she mean? She's normally very clear and understandable. I'm sure she doesn't think I came out of her eyes literally.

ok so this is my first month TTC .... it worked ! i am 12 days past ovualtion and have all the tell tale sign of pregnancy(i think, i dunno since ive never been pregnant) i woke up and felt the need to call out of work... who knows? and i went and bought 2 first responce early preg tests. i used my 2nd pee of the day and still have not dranks anything and after waiting 30 seconds there it was.... my second blue line. in disbeleive i was like whoa i wanna take the other one... so i pushed out more pee and there the live was again on my second test.... i am pretty sure i am pregnant! well at least thats what the tests are telling me! holy cow right! should i test again tomorrow just to make sure of.... i dunno? to make sure they are telling the truth? or go head and make my dr appt for tomorrow?

I just found out i was pregnant last week and had an ultrasound last night, but they couldn't see the baby. They told me that i was too early and not to freak out...but i am!!

i nam 32 weeks and the baby dropped!! my aunt who is a RN told me this means that i will deliver in the next 2 weeks but my friend told me that usually with your first pregnancy you are late to deliver so what do i believe??

I am starting my little girl on soft table foods and I'm kind of out of ideas. What beside bananas can I give her? She just learning to mash with her gums/teeth so it needs to be fairly soft/dissolvable til she gets the hang of it.

Ok, here's the deal. I'm 15 years old and i have mixed feelings about drinking (as in alcohol). I'm a christian and so i've been taught that drinking is wrong. but nowhere in the bible does it say that. it just says not to get drunk. either way it's still illegal for me to drink because i'm underage. my parents drink a little bit. you know a glass of wine occasionally when they get home from work, or a beer with grandpa and the uncles over thanksgiving weekend. sometimes when my family is with my grandparents and we have a toast or something on special occasions, they pour me and my brother(17) and sister (19) a glass of champaigne or wine too. i don't prefer the taste, but i drink a little bit anyway. the adults (my parents and grandparents) told us that as long as we were with them drinking a little wine we were okay, but to never do it anywhere where they aren't around (i haven't and i never will). but is it still okay when i'm with them. is it still a sin or "illegal". please help!

well I have still had no success with different foods or getting her off the bottle. I try and offer her milk in a sippy everyday and everyday she throws a tantrum. She will chug water out of it but no milk. She is still taking 3 bottles a day. One in the morning, one before naptime and one before bed, otherwise she drinks water. I am going to try to stop worrying about what she is eating.I have been trying hot dogs, chicken nuggets and a few other things everyday and she spits everything out except the few things she likes. I guess she will survive on pancakes and mac and cheese, oh and of course she is still eating baby food. I guess it will happen in time. Debbie

I thought he might be taking them off because he was wet but that is not the case he takes them off wet or dry. Does anyone have any suggestions?

im 19 years old and im 7 months pregnant because i was raped.i never once thought i was going to have an abortion because even though the pregnancy was unplanned as soon as i knew for sure i was pregnant i loved my baby more than anything.now that its getting closer to 9 months im worried about the future,how and i going to tell her she was concieved because i was forced to have sex?

Before I was married I thought I would REALLY want kids. Now that we are married we are not sure we want any at all. Sometimes I feel like there's something wrong with me. I am 26 and ALL of my friends are married and have kids. I am an only child and I feel bad b/c I am the only one who can give my mom a grandkid. We (my husband and I) just don't think we want children. what do I tell people when they ask "when are you guys having a baby?" and how do I get over feelings that there is something wrong with me?

I didnt have formula and I live in an area where the nearest store is at least a mile and I have no car , would using carnation milk be terribly harmful til I can get more formula?

Like most of us adults, our children are not getting the sleep that they require. My question is not how much does your kid get or how to get her up in the morning. BUT, does anyone KNOW the recommended amount of sleep that a child of this age should be getting.

Bed time is 8:30, but she is just not being able to get things together to attend school on time in the morning. I know that her medications can be playing a big part on this, as does her special needs. WE have talked about bed earlier, but hey she is still and 11 year old and is not really ready for bed that early??

So does anyone know what is recommended for an average kid in this age range. Or if others find a suitable bed time that might work better?? She is trying.

My daughter is 10, she is friends with this one girl but this other girl is always starting trouble between them. Last month, my daughter was her best friend, this month she is not. The problem is the other girl is always talking about my daughter and making up rumors and they ganged up on her before with nasty emails or talking about her. It stopped about 9 months ago(I called the parents) but started again.
I want my daughter to make her own decisions but at the same time as an adult I know more that is going on than her. I feel like she gets walked all over from this girl and she totally treats the other girl nicer(like she is scared to stick up for herself)
I don't want to say you can't hang out with her because it will make her want it more!
Any advice?

My 1 1/2 year old is very "trying" lately. She is the middle child already, which I anticipated would be hard for her. She has a 5 year old sister who was sooo easy compared to her now that I look back :) and a 4 month old sister who was born pre-maturely and needs some special care. I expected for my older children to need some adjustment time after the baby. I am a stay at home mom and try hard to spend special time with each of my children. Of the three, my 18 mo. old absolutely requires the most attention. She knows where/how to find trouble and goes strait for it! I am frustrated because I'm not sure if she's doing this for attention or if she's doing these things because she's been getting away with it for so long. I sat her in 3 brief "time-outs" yesterday, but felt so guilty over it. I am wondering if anyone else has dealt with a similar situation and maybe had some advice?

first month trying to conceive, i am 24 my hubby is 26. i wasnt feeling up to work today so i called out. something told me to go take a test today. i went and bought a first responce early preg test. it was my second "pee" this morning but i havent drank anything yet. so i pee'd and low and behold 5 seconds later i saw a faint line, and after 3 min it is dark as can be. i just made an appt with my dr for today... what happens now?
