you don't have to give a child full attention to raise they successfully. my son is 15 months old and i let him play by himself for at least an hours a day because it teaches him that he doesn't have to have my attention always.

A good mother gives her child lots of love and attention. I heard an expectant mother say she and her husband were going to give their child everything they never had. Material things don't mean anything in raising a child if the love, caring, and discipline aren't there. We have children in our family that are grown and don't know how to take care of themselves out on their own because the parents gave them everything they wanted and didn't teach them the value of a dollar. They think their mother's picked money off a tree in the back yard every time they ask for something. lol

A child does not require a Mother's FULL attention. Those are the kids who grow up to be spoiled rotten and completely self-centred.
A child needs a Mother who is well-rounded and well-adjusted. A Mother who makes her child a top PRIORITY in her life, along with her husband and family AND herself, healthwise (mentally and physically) will raise child who can be independent with the ability to make good decisions for him or herself and will themselves become a well-rounded, well-adjusted adult.

Motherhood thrust on the mother by nature! It is a very natural and beautiful phenomena of nature. Childbearing capabilities bring in a mother a natural flare for good attention to raise a child well.

Like the others said, you dont have to give them your full attention 24/7.My daughter is 16 1/2 months old and she plays by herself all of the time, I love just sitting and watching her, it makes her have an imagination, to be a Good Mother you just have to take care of your baby and make sure they have everything they need(not everything they want), and love them thats all they need.

A child does not need your full attention in order for you to be considered a good mother. My aunt has two boys, her first son she constantly gave him her full attention and well at 2 years old he had no imagination, had no interest in amusing himself, and would not play alone or with other kids. He constantly wanted to be with his mother and involved in her conversations. I think time alone is great and perfectly healthy. If your child learns to amuse themselfs, they are learning to be independent as well and its good for baby and parents. Giving your child love, good health and happiness is a good mother.

Love and support from family. It's not all about the mom, the Dad is a very important part of raising a baby. Dad keeps the mom happy and mom keeps the baby happy.
Wow. Like nature intended for humans.
