I didn't test positive until I was more than one week late for my period. The blood work at that point also showed a clear positive. Wait a few days and test again with first morning urine.

There are lots of other things that could cause you to skip, so it's possible you aren't pregnant. Be patient and you'll get the answer you seek.

I would take one more test to be sure,it is hard to say whether or not you took it to early it just depends on your body and your cycle are you irregular with your period or is it pretty normal every month? But as far as tips for conceiving other than ovulation believe it or not the sexier you feel and the more orgasms you have will increase your chances of conceiving.Good luck to you and also don't put so much pressure into it will happen when you least expect it:)

my husband and i were trying for four months just having sex every day or every other day during the period which i thought i was fertile. since that didnt seem to be working, we decided to try every other day for a month and it worked! My pregnancy test showed up 11 days past ovulation...which was 4 days before my period was even due! I would wait a few more days and if your period doesnt start just test again. I wish you the best of luck :)

Tips for conception is to be 100% aware of your cycle. That's all I have for you in regards to that.

Yes a blood test can be done too early, you may have just ovulated late in your cycle or had an odd ball cycle and/or fertilized the egg and it implanted late in your cycle.... could be any number of reasons, but yes a blood test can definitly be taken to early.

Have you tried another pee stick?

If this is the first time you have been late, you should make an appointment with your GYN. Blood tests can detect pregnancy earlier than the home test kits. Also your GYN can do a pelvic exam and be able to tell from that. Good Luck!

Stress or illness can cause you to have a longer than normal cycle. As far as trying to conceive, when I was trying I found a wonderful website, www.tryingtoconceive.com
I learned so much there! And there's a great book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility", you can look it up at Amazon.com. Good luck to you!

There are now new tests , which are positive after 3-4 days most probably known as B-hCG estimation in the urine.

The best solution is to gain control over it. As someone already said, stop when you're getting there and relax. Pay more attention to pleasuring your mate--orally, perhaps--and avoid rubbing your penis up against anything while doing so. It will take work on your part and patience on both parts. As a last resort, some antidepressants curb sexual functioning with the intention of learning the pleasure of restraint after which you could taper off them. Here's your goal: the longer you can delay your orgasm, the more intense it will be. So it isn't just a matter of satisfying your mate. This is the main reason some claim stoned sex is better, unlike drunk sex which can leave you unable to perform (brewer's droop). You enjoy exploring each other longer. And remember, oral isn't just one place. It's all over, paying particular attention to kissing, and TALK about what each of you like. Strange how people don't talk about sex when they're the ones doing it.
