Potty training has NOT been a breeze for me with my almost-three-year-old. She understand the entrire concept, talks about it all the time, repeats what we say to her (i.e. - "don't go peepee on daddy's floor!") - BUT ultimately - she'll still stand in the middle of a room and go pee. Tried:
reward system, making it a fun game, punishing, going to the toilet every 45-60 minutes to 'try' (which she hates doing). . .
Everyone says "don't rush her and she'll be ready on her own" but meanwhile I'm paying for two kids in diapers and she keeps talking about how nasty it is to go in a diaper and crys as soon as she goes on herself! Any NEW suggestions? ?

1) The parents grew up on stupid music, movies and tv show themselves and have not learned reality from fantasy.

if you can not realize crap music,tv show(comedies etc...) and movies from good ones then how are your children going to?

2) They give their children everything like cellular phones and internet service, cars etc...

The parents think that this will increase their childrens security and intelligent, but some of these parents don't even know
how to use email or the internet on the computer themselves.

3) Why are boys and girls so violate today? Their parents believe in a war that says violence solves everything.

Agree or Disagree?

This question is ONLY FOR THOSE PARENTS WHOSE CHILDREN HAVE HAD POSITIONAL PLAGIOCEPHALY. Please DO NOT REPLY if you have not had to deal with it.

My 7 months old has had a flat spot on his head since he was 3 months old, and I'm worried to death that he will have to wear a "helmet" to correct it. At this point, it's of moderate severity. Now that he can sit on his own, the baby does not spend too much time on his back when he's not napping, and he barely spends any time at all in his car seat or stroller, but I have not seen any improvement. His doctor says it will go away on its own, but I'm wondering how long it takes to see the spot going back to its normal shape. I tried repositioning, but the problem is that no matter what side I put him down on to (and tuck towels and blankets under his back), he always flips on his back and sleeps that way anyway! HOW LONG did it take your child's flat spot to disappear? Did you have to take any measures (besides helmet), and if yes, what?

My son is 4, he may or may not be being bullied in his pre k, class, by a little girl in Senior K. I have a gut feeling he is.. and its bothering me, but what I want to know, is what can I do to help my son gain self esteem, and confidence in himself, and positively fight back.. I don't mean fight a girl, I mean stand up for himself. I want him to be stronger. My husband thinks I turned him into a wuss because I taught him that is o.k to cry, and then he cried in front of kids at school, and now my husband thinks our son is an easy target just because he cried. ?? I want him to be more confident, and be able to stand up for himself, but I still want him to be able to cry if he needs to. What are your opinions? comments and advice? Thanks.

Given these figures... Why dont all countries copy the dutch and German way of teaching about sex and relationships...

Please go through the whole website before answering.

Absteinance generally does not work as hormones control behavour and feelings.

Likewise education does not encourage it as if nt interested in the first place not interested. Ie saying sex ed makes people want to do it is the same as saying you can make gays straight by watching 'Debbie does Dallas' and giving them free condoms

The dutch appear to be very open and start pre teenage.

I didnt actually have sex.

On friday night I gave my boyfriend a handjob and i put my hand on his penis and then i pulled his boxers back up before he came like way before and when he came his boxers were on. It would have been a good 30-40 minutes before I went home to check my discharge (long story) like having to touch myself. Then on saturday night Im scared because i touched my boyfriend over his boxers and im afraid that I somehow got sperm on my hands and I had to go to the bathroom 10-15 minutes later to check my discharge (long story) so now im afraid I may have put something in me. That happened on Saturday. Which pregnancy test should I like use? Im so scared that i put something in me.

Especially when it's medically impossible to get a real period while pregnant since it's the shedding of the endometrium (uterine lining) necessary for pregnancy? I just keep hearing women say they had their period during their pregnancy and I have to wonder if they no idea what a period really is and what causes it. (Keep in mind that I do know that spotting due to other reasons is possible during pregnancy. It happened to me during my pregnancy.)

Here's the literal definition of menstruation (from http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/menstruation):

Main Entry: men·stru·a·tion
Pronunciation: "men(t)-strü-'wA-sh&n, men-'strA-
Function: noun
: a discharging of blood, secretions, and tissue debris from the uterus that recurs in nonpregnant breeding-age primate females at approximately monthly intervals and that is considered to represent a readjustment of the uterus to the nonpregnant state following proliferative changes accompanying the preceding ovulation.

I'm not saying it can't happen, I'm just asking what could cause symptoms before the embryo (or whatever it's called) even implants? My friend told me that before it implants, your body knows that it's there and thinks it's a disease and tries to fight it off and that's what gives you early symptoms before implantation. Sounds a little strange.... is this really what happens?

I have a 3 month old and I'm just wondering at what age I should start putting her down at night without rocking her to sleep? And what tricks should I use to "wean" her from being rocked to sleep? She still seems pretty young to self-soothe, but I want to avoid all the problems I hear about with people who have older kids who won't go to sleep by themselves.
