I'm going to have twins in March and I know I'm having a boy and a girl, for the little girl I had pretty much decided to name her Catherine Rose, but then I heard Catherine with the middle name Elizabeth. Which one sounds better, Catherine Rose, or Catherine Elizabeth?

The little boy's name is going to be Tomas Xavier, and I've tried both Catherine Elizabeth and Rose with his name and they sound fine.

Catherine Rose gets my vote. Catherine Elizabeth is kinda long and bit of a mouthful in my opinion

Personally I think they both sound good. I think you should consider them in relation to the last name. Does Catherine Rose sound batter with your last name or does Catherine Elizabeth? If you really can't decide, you can wait until the baby is born to decide which middle name you use. When my little brother was born my parents had his middle name picked out ahead of time and didn't give him his first name until he was born!

Catherine is on my list, too =) I like Elizabeth better than Rose. I was thinking about using Katherine Grace.

Congratulations on your twins! I love the sound of both names - try pairing them both with your last name to see which sounds best (if your last name is very short, Rose may not sound as nice with it as Elizabeth - and if your name is very long, Rose may work better.) If either set of initials spells anything, be sure it's something you can live with (CRY? CEL? etc.) And if all else fails, use them both. We decided on my daughter's first name but I couldn't decide between Anna and Grace for her middle name - so she has two middle names. :) Catherine Elizabeth Rose sounds lovely as well.

Best of luck choosing names, and with your new babies!

Catherine Rose has a nice sound to it and a rose brings much pleasure, the name Elizabeth is in the Bible, but the way my wife and I handled the naming of our children was by asking GOD and we wre given Eric Elias and Joel Joshua.
