I am interested in either painting my house or hiring someone. Is it safe for a pregnant woman to inhale the fumes of paint? Has anyone painted while prego?

You don't want to be around any strong fumes while pregnant. It gets into your oxygen and can transfer to the baby. Paint is one of the worst.

If the room is well ventilated, then most doctors will tell you it is ok. But check with YOUR doctor.

Take frequent breaks, and make sure the air moves in the room well. If you can have a window open, great.

My wife and I painted our baby's room when she was about 4 months pregnant. It was fine.
