I want to name my first son (when I have one) Eidon. How would you pronounce it if you read it out loud?

just to let everyone know, I'm HOPING that people will pronounce it eye-don. I like the name Ayden, but it's getting too trendy. I just want to know what the first impression is gonna be when people read it.

I would say it as I see it, Eye-don. The ei makes a eye sound, I think eden would be without the E, so definitly Eye-Don. Its hard though cause doesn't matter how its spelt, someone always makes a mistake. My best friends last name is Cape, simple last name, and people always try to make it something different, like Kapey, or some fancy other pronouciation. So doesn't matter how its spelt, someone will always try something fancy.

I would pronounce it Idon, like eye-don.
or eye-den.
and if i looked at it for a long time then the pronunciation would be Aiden.
i think it's a great name no matter how it's pronounced. great choice. but the first one is what first comes to mind.

It looks like Eden, as in the garden, at first glance.
Aiden is trendy, yes. But Eidon isn't exactly common, either.

That is a nice original name. I would pronounce it like Aiden. Like the boyfriend from Sex and the City.

i don't know the correct answer but I would be inclined to pronounce it Eye Dun.... It looks as though it might be German and they pronounce EI as EYE

EE-dun is how I'd pronounce it just looking at it. Have you thought about spelling it Eydon or Eyedon? That looks more like how you should say it. :-) Cute name though!!! :-)
