I'm not asking this to be judgemental or anything like this I'm just curious as to what other toddlers do. My 15 month daughter shows no interest in TV whatsover even if I put something like the tweenies she will ignore it.
So here are the questions:
1. When did your toddler first start watching TV?
2. How uch do they watch a day and how old are they?
3. What are your reasons for your toddler watching/not watching TV

I am half way through my pregnancy and family members and sometimes even close friends of the family. Try to give advice on things they don't have a place give advice in. Things that boyfriend and I have to make a decision about. Things like how I should raise my daughter. I grew up in a city but i spent more of my time in the suburbs(where people in my family have come to say i act white). So i rather raise my daughter in a mixed neighborhood then just raise her in the city. Then people comment on how i discipline my daughter...such as whooping her when she dors something bad. I have never been whooped. My daughter isn't here yet and people already trying to give their two cents. I am more so saying what can i do to stop people from doing this toward me and has this ever happen to you?

I'm losing my mind!

My 10 month old son travelled to India with my husband and I. While we were there at least one person always attended to him. Usually there were three or more. He was not made to sleep, if he cried he was picked up and either played with, fed, or rocked. This went on for a little over two weeks.

We returned this weekend. The time adjust has been hard on all of us. I have returned to our regular routine. However, my son refuses to nap or sleep. Every time I lay him in his crib he screams. I do let him cry it out. But, last night after three hours no one was getting any sleep.

After waking up at one and having a short nap in the car while we went for breakfast he slept in his crib for 30 minutes. He also won't let me out of his sight.

Any ideas on how to get my good baby back?

I'm also nearly four months pregnant and very exhausted...

He has been in EI since 18mos, now in a special school as well. Making great progress. No behavioral issues. GREAT eye contact. Evaluators do not believe he is spectrum. Also tested negative for fragile X. Had surgery at 5 weeks for pyloric stenosis. Wondering if anesthesia played a factor. He has apraxia, although I know most children w/ that have full receptive language understanding. He does not. He is at least a year or year and a half behind w/ everything. Just wanted to know if anyone w/ older child was in similar situation, and how is their child now? Some people have told me that it took until 5 or 6 for the expressive and receptive language to kick in. It is comforting to know it will come eventually. Or does your child still have trouble? His therapists are hopeful because he has a "spark" and tries to learn. When I see him among kids his age, the difference is heartbreaking to me. Wondering about the unknown future...Thanks, Mom from Long Island.

The reason I want to get rid of them is we live in a small house and recently the animals have been pissing all over. I hate the smell of cat pee and I do not think it is good for pregnant woman let alone a new born. My wife has had these cats for 10 years. How can I win this battle?

Abortion is a women’s issue. Men have no right to even be involved.

First, people who think men have no right to be involved in the abortion issue should be careful what they ask for. Polls consistently find that women oppose abortion at a higher rate than men, they are more opposed to government funding of abortion, more active in the pro-life movement, and are more likely to favor banning abortion outright. It is abundantly clear that if men were excluded, support for abortion would plummet.

Second, men don’t need to be given the right to speak out against abortion, they already have a responsibility to do so. Real men don’t just stand around with their hands in their pockets while helpless children are slaughtered for money. Third, the pro-choice crowd never tells men who support legal abortion to keep quiet, and they have never said that the 1973 Supreme Court had no right to be involved in the Roe v. Wade decision, despite the fact every member was male.

They also don’t seem to mind that the overwhelming majority of abortionists are men, and they never say anything about the male “escorts” outside the abortion mills or even the men who force women into having abortions. Evidently, the only men these people want to be censored are those who think women deserve better than abortion.

Finally, if the argument is that men shouldn’t be allowed to participate simply because they can’t get pregnant, what about women who can’t get pregnant? Should only young, sexually active, fertile women who are not practicing birth control be allowed to have an opinion about abortion?

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and I feel like I look so great. (Maybe I don't, but whatever) Most women think they look terrible during pregnancy, or don't they? Is it normal for me to feel this way? I recently was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when I was 2 months along (runs in the family....not caused by the pregnancy) but, since I've been diagnosed I've had to eat really good, which has made me lose a little over 5 pounds...even though my belly is growing decently...Maybe it's because I lost weight everywhere, except my belly, but I accept the fact it's big because of pregnancy and not because I'm fat. I am 5'6'' and 165 pounds. Sounds big, but I actually look average and wear a size 10/12 pre pregnancy. Did you feel like this in pregnancy, or am I just delusional with hormones?

PLEASE...no nasty comments...I'm not conceited...it's just that I can't believe I feel this way towards myself...I thought I'd hate myself during pregnancy, but it's opposite....has this happened to you?

My friend and I have been in an ongoing debate. I began a question asking if a pregnant woman pees in a pool that a home pregnancy test would reveal it if dipped in the pool water. Everyone responded saying no, too much water, too diluted. So, I then asked if you peed in a bathtub filled with water would it show. Again, everyone said too diluted. However, I had one taker on my experiment and she peed into a glass about 1/4 full then filled the rest with water. She said it was negative but, she was 9 months pregnant. I would like to know if I can have any other volunteers to test out the true accuracy of home pregnancy tests and see if it can detect a small presence of the hormone that it is seeking. Thank you to all volunteers. I would like to talk to my volunteer yesterday if she could somehow respond with her IM. Thanks again.

Yesterday, she woke up with the flu again, making this the 4th time. How many times can a child possibly get the flu? She has lost 8 pounds in the past 2 months. She throws up and her belly constantly hurts and she gets a high fever. She won't eat anything. I took her to the emergency room last time, and they only did a urine test and everything came out fine. As a parent, would you take your daughter into her doctor for a second opinion?

I've never been told this before, but I can't help but think that it might be loud in there while they have the ultrasound machine on my belly. I always end up feeling guilty afterward!

I had really bad pelvic pains for up 2 three weeks and I showed all pregnancy signs. I was two weeks late on my period.I took a First Response home pregnancy test and it said I was pregnant. but then later on i took like other generic tests that said i wasnt pregnant. but this weekend i woke up at 4 in the morning with heavy cramping and blood. It lasted 4 days with the blood and there were alot of clots in the blood. and its gross but they're was also a long stretchy thing of blood with what looked like mucus. and looked sort of white mixed in it. I was also spotting.Could this mean im pregnant or could this mean i had a miscarraige?

OK I'm 19 year old and have always been in excellent shape, i usually work out all the time and so on. I am 24 weeks and 3 days pregnant and have gained about 12 or 13 ound so far. ( Due May 5th) I told some girl i would be back into bakinis in July and she said i was pushing it. i got kinda mad because in my opinion 2 months is a long time not to mention you lose half that weight in the delivery room! I have only gained belly and nowhere else. DO you think it's stupid for me to say this?
