Intercourse shouldn't affect the test. You can test from the first day you miss your period. Although sometimes you may get a false negative if you test too soon. Defintely think it's worth doing a test if you're 7 days late. Good luck.

if your peroid is seven days late and you have a normal on time cycle then chances are your pregnant if you take an ept it should show up postive in most cases but if its negative theres still a high chance that you are pregnant and you just tested too early. as for having sex the day before you test shouldnt matter if your already pregnant it has no effects on the test. If the test comes up neg and your period still hasnt come then take another in 2-3 days or go and have a blood test done to know for sure. hope this helped.

If your period is 7 days late you can test and be pretty confident that the result is accurate, some tests work from the day your period is due.
Go get a test, it will put your mind at rest.
As far as I know the result won't be affected by having intercourse the night before, it is the hormone HCG that will be detected, nothing else!

With all three of mine, about 4 days before, with a first response only(others are not as good at early detection), or one day before or the day of with all other test! First response is the best trust me! Good luck! Anything before 5 days, will show negative!

Yes, it's testing your urine not your vaginal secretions so having sex the night before is immaterial to the result of the test.
It is not too early to take the test - if your period is 7 days overdue then the test is sensitive enough to tell whether you are or aren't today.

most tests can detect pregnancy after about 3 weeks of conception accurately. Good luck! Be patient!

Anytime after you miss your period--having sex the night before won't affect the results.

it doesn't matter weather or not you had sex that doesn't make any difference, the best time to take the test would be in the morning, as the hormone level is at it's highest.
