i am 4 days late i have taken 3 hpt in the past few days all were -. i was just wondering how long it took other people tp get a postive test

When I was pregnant with our daughter, I was one day late and the test started showing positive immediately. With my last pregnancy, I was four days away from when my period was supposed to start, it took about a minute, and it was incredibly light. With this pregnancy (just found out Saturday!!!), I was 2-3 days late, and the test showed positive almost immediately.
If I were you, I would wait until I was a week late and take the test again (personal preference, but I recommend the First Response tests). If your period still hasn't started after a week and you still get a negative result, you should see a doctor. There are other reasons for a delayed period besides pregnancy. You may have an issue that needs to be addressed.

Depending on what brand of HPT you used (With something this important) always use the best like ClearBlue Easy (digitial). If you are pregnant the test should have shown a + already. With the digitial test it will show a + a week before your period should start if you are pregnant.

you should try a first response test i got a postive result on the day my period was supoose to come the line was faint but it was there. wait a day or two in test again in the morning good luck.

It really depends on how much of the pregnancy hormone is in your body. I would test again in a couple days. The dollar tree has cheapie tests, but they work great.

see your doctor and relax sometimes cycles shift and we run late for no reason test in a week if still negative your not pregnant

THERE ARE SOME TESTS THAT CAN SHOW A POSITIVE 5 DAYS BEFORE YOUR PERIOD IS SUPPOSE TO START
