Yesterday, i picked my son up from daycare and he had this big red mark right below his eye (like someone had pinched him) and it is still swollen. The teacher that was there when i picked him up said that she didn't know what happened to his eye and that it was like that when she got there that afternoon. So i asked his teacher in the morning time what happened and she just kind of blew if off like he fell or something. But that isn't what it looks like. It looks like something pinched him because you can see where the blood has risen to the top of his skin and has been swollen for two days. Should i say something to the owner or just let it go?

My doctor says she wants me to gain 20 lbs at the max due to a medical issue.

I am only 8 weeks pregnant and haven't gained anything so far.

I haven't been eating junk food and I am not allowing myself to eat everything in sight.

How do I keep from gaining too much weight during my pregnancy? How did you avoid gaining more than 20 lbs?

hi..i was told that if i masage my niples once a day with vasline it will help to keep my brest not heart and it will help the firstdays of breastfeeding not be so painfull..
im 3days away from beeing 6 monthes pregnant..
but i was wondering if my brest are supposto letout some clearish witesh coloerd substance...
is this normal.. or is it milk that the baby needs... should i let it out or help to let it out or should i try and not masage my niples and leave that liquid inside..
did any of u mothers have any clear white or clear yellowish watter ormilk come out of your niples during your pregnancy..

My OB wants to see me once every month until the last month of my pregnancy, then she wants to see me weekly.

I am not high risk and I am very healthy. This is my first pregnancy so I don't know if its normal to see your OB once a month.

How often do you go see your OB/GYN?

Im pregnant and the fiance did a runner, although he tried to get back together later, he behaved so badly I definately did not want a relationship with him anymore. He has done a runner to avoid child support, but something tell me he will be back to annoy me once the child is here. Yes he will be able to see the child (I just won't be there) so that is not an issue. Has this happened to anyone else, if so what was people's experiences?

my boyfriends kid is so spoiled! he gives her anything and everything she wants. she yells at him and he just doesn't do anyhting. we spent $60 on a movie the other day for her to just cause a scene 20 min. into it and wants to leave. we actually left! he puts her in her place sometimes but when he does, moments later, he sucks her butt to her whinning and crying. its so fake, though. what should i do? Help! and she tries to boss me around but, i aint havin that! but, i dont want to come off as a big meanie. and dont get it wrong... he loves her to death. i dont know why she acts like "its all about me." she doesn't act like that with her mother.
ps. she's 5, he's 28

My 9yr old step daughter told me that her mom is selfish, lies, and is sometimes not a good parent. This is a fact that I have been well aware of for the past 5 years (mom is CONSTANTLY lying to everyone and is always cheating on her new boyfriends etc...). My husband and I don't ever talk bad about her mom and it has only been recently that she is noticing how badly her mom really behaves. This past weekend her mom said she was "sick" (again) and didn't want her daughter on her scheduled time-which happened to be on her birthday and her mom had planned a party for her. Needless to say, this really upset my stepdaughter. There are two additional problems as well. One, my SD has been getting into trouble at school for everything, and then lies about it- just like her mom. When we tried talking to her about what's really bothering her she said that her dad doesn't pay enough attention to her but THE EXACT OPPOSITE is true. Mom hardly ever wants to be with her and dad does. HUH?

My girlfriend is a single mother by choice who went through IVF through a sperm bank. She also had unprotected sex around the same time. Her gorgeous daughter has some characteristics of the "fling" not the donor. She has submitted a DNA test. Her daughter is almost two and my friend has stayed in touch with the fling. If he is really the father, does she have an obligation to tell him? She does not want to be in a relationship with this man and is perfectly fine raising her daughter on her own.

p.s. we live in the Bay Area, where all of this is not so unusual.

I am hispanic and need help with a name for a baby boy..
i like a lot of names but don't really have a pronounciation in spanish.. i know my relatives in Mexico will have a hard time with names i choose.
I am fluent in english but i need a name that can be pronounced both english and spanish. a nice name though! don't give me Jose or Jesus .. I don't want a name that sounds TOO hispanic either. just a nice name that sounds nice in both languages.. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

i am am pregnant with my fourth baby and i had the last two c-section. the first one was an emergency and i passed out from the shock of them moving my insides around. my husband thought i died. the second time i told them to knock me out first and told my husband that unless he wanted to he did not have to be in the room while they did the c-section, because i would be knocked out anyway. i plan to do the same this time. i dont want my husband to think that i dont want him in the room, but i dont want him to be in there if it will upset him to see me unconcsious. am i wrong for giving him a choice to wait with my family instead of making him be in the operating room with me?
