okay i had sex on the 8th of this month and my period had just ended a couple days before on the 5th is there a possible chance i could get pregnant?

Anytime you have unprotected sex there's a possibility. If you don't want to get pregnant don't have sex or use protection. If you do, keep trying.

A woman is fertile--meaning she can get pregnant--while an egg is in the fallopian tube. The sperm can live inside a woman for up to 5 to 7 days, so it's possible to get pregnant when you have sex several days before you ovulate because the sperm will be there already waiting for the egg. Likewise, the egg will survive (unfertilized) 24-48 hours after ovulation, so you can easily get pregnant during that time.
This means women are most likely to get pregnant for the two weeks in the middle of their cycle. In other words, one week after their last period started until one week before their next is the most likely time.

I agree with fojimo ... any given day you have unprotected sex there is the POSSIBILITY of getting pregnant; but more than that there is the stronger possibility of contracting an STD. If you really don't want to get pregnant or end up with a disease, always use protection or abstain (this one is 100% effective against pregnancy and STDs).

there is a chance you could get pregnant on any given day you have sex. certain days may be less probable but always still possible

of course there is a chance. there's also a chance of getting a lot of other things by having unprotected sex. WHY?? just use a condom. Its so not worth the worrying, is it?
