How often do you go see your OB/GYN?

My OB wants to see me once every month until the last month of my pregnancy, then she wants to see me weekly.

I am not high risk and I am very healthy. This is my first pregnancy so I don't know if its normal to see your OB once a month.

How often do you go see your OB/GYN?

Yep, it's normal. I saw my OB/GYN every 4 weeks until my last appointment. Now that I am in my 8th month I have to go every two weeks. He says that once I am in my 9th month I will go once a week. So yep sounds pretty normal to me. Good Luck with your pregnancy and Congratulations :)

Yes, once a month is right. Some OB's see you every other week starting at like 32 weeks, and then every week for your last month. Good Luck.

Mine like most I have read here wants to see me every 4 weeks until closer to delivery then its every week. They just do that so you don't have anything to ask,check on etc. Relax and use that time for your questions and/or concerns. If you're like me I always cant think of the questions but am finding that "What to Expect while your expecting" Journal helps. It's the companion to What to Expect while your Expecting book which I highly recommend that you get a copy and use it often. This is my fourth pregnancy but second book cause of the wear and tear ya give it.

your ob is right...you should see them once a month until you are 8 months then every two weeks...the last month every week..its important that you keep these appts...a pregnancy can change from month to month and the closer you get to your due date the more sure your doctor wants to be that everything will be ok...good luck you!!!!!!!!

My first 12 weeks, she wanted to see me every week. After that she wanted to see me every two weeks. I'm not at high risk for anything but shes very cautious about everything.
It's normal to be seen once a month though

well mine says to see them once a month until 6 months then every 2 weeks until 8 months and then every week

I go every month and towards the end a couple times a month then weekly. Its normal.

That's protocol. Very typical and sound advice, as your body changes rapidly as you draw closer to your due date (whether you feel the changes or not; and to know how/if you've dialated and effaced, that can only be determined by your doctor's examination).

The closer to your due date, the more frequest the visits until you have the baby. They will note even the smallest of changes, as that can be indicative of anything at all... good or bad.

I was once a month til my 7th month now its every two weeks. Next week I'll be at 35 weeks and he says he wants to see me every week after that.

I saw mine once a month until my last month then it was once every two weeks and then once a week until you have your baby, but some hospitals are different.
