So my period was a lot lighter than usual. It started out light like it usually does, and that lasted for the first day, then it picked up like how my periods usually are, but it was only for a day, and normally that lasts longer, and then it lightened up again and it stayed light for the next 3 days. At points it kept stopping and restarting. I really don't have any other symptoms, though I've heard of people who have had none, but could this possibly mean that I am pg?

I'm a little confused by the term "missed period". Does that mean to take the HPT on the day I am supposed to get my period, or wait through the normal 5-7 day cycle, and if I missed my period, then do an HPT?

I'm supposed to get my period today. I took a HPT yesterday and today (very anxious!) both came out neg. Had sex three days prior to scheduled ovulation day, and sex on ovulation day too. Usually there are many signs my body has before I get my period, and I haven't really had any of them except for very light, faint cramping. I haven't had any migraines like I normally do, and I usally cramp very hard the first couple days prior. Also, different smelling discharge the week up to my period, and that hasn't occurred either.

I always had issues BFing my children. It drives me crazy to this day! I will probably NOT have any more children, but for my minds sake, I wanted to know if there is any *medical* term to explain this. I would first nurse arround the clock and make sure I had adaquate fluids, then my babies would all drop the normal "pound" of body weight at the one week check up. I would tell the doctors about my issues with nursing and take home a hospital grade pump. suppliment with fenugreek, and then I would for two weeks or more nurse, pump, nurse, pump... I felt like a machine!! In the end, I have always had to give it up becuase my babies all lost WAY too much weight and I couldn't handle it anymore!
I have ran into ladies who have similar experiences. Sooo, I am just curious.. is there a real MEDICAL concept out there that describes this as a condition?
Any comiseration is appreciated!

I was told by Fertility Friend that I ovulated on CD14. Today when i put my temp in it said ovulation had not been detected. Why? It is my first cycle temping so i can't really compare, but i did have slight twitches in my lower abdomen yesterday. Thought maybe i ovulated late. my fiance and i BD yesterday evening.

I would appreciate it if someone with experience in BBT charting would look at my charts and let me know your opinion. thanks

My daughter is 2 1/2 and I started potty training her 4 days ago. She's doing pretty good as she gets the basic concept, and only has little accidents. However, her bed is very wet and she usually poops before she lets me know that she's up. I've been told not to put a pull-up on her as it sends a confusing message. Any tips???

My wife was forced to quit her job a week ago because she refused to go into the smoking room to do 100% of her job... we just found out that we are having another child and dont want to risk the babies health, so she went to the manager and he said she had to quit, give two weeks notice (while still going into the smoking room) or stay till she is about to pop and come back after the baby is born.... i have heard that some people have been able to get upto or more than 20,000 dollars. and could get the company into trouble for this.
please help me with any information....

I've read so many questions when ppl refer to the extreme pain caused during labor and I know the pain medications given during labor, but I am wondering how extreme the pain is after the birth of the baby (especially if you need stitches and whatnot). Also, do they give you any additional pain medications for that pain? Thanks!

Two of our boys wet the bed. They are 6 and 11. I am using youth diapers on both of them. The 11 year old was using goodnites, but recently they started causing him problems so we switched him over to his brothers tena diapers and we haven't had any problems since.

Here is the problem though, tonight my husband and i are going out and our sitter is coming over. Our six year old has no problem with the sitter knowing about his bedwetting but our 11 year old is sensitive. We are planning on being out past 1AM and I have no desire to be cleaning wet sheets when I get home. I was planning on just having a diaper on both of them when she comes over tomorrow at 6, but it might be a little early. Does anyone have any suggestions? The sitter knows they both are wetters.

I was given the suggestion to just have the 11 year old put the diaper on himself, but we tried that a few times and it leaked all over. Normally I just put one on him before bed like our 6 year old.

I always seem to tear during child delivery. I had a midwife who said some sort of oil could help to keep that from happening...is that true? Has anyone ripped on one kid and then learned how not to on another? What works? Proven methods please.

We did not have this problem until shortly after he wen ton break from pre-school. He was playing with his 11 year old brother a lot during that time. Before this he had a few occasions when he would talk back but now it has been almost every time you ask him to do something.

His teacher thinks he may be going through a phase where he is trying to assert himself and find out where he fits into the family as far as power and control goes. And that he is also trying to develop his character.

He's still too young to understand the word 'NO,' though I'm trying to teach him (gently). He is very active and boisterous, but often when he is frustrated or upset he flails around hitting and scratching at me. I don't think he's trying to hurt me, but I want to teach him to stop doing it.

***All gentle suggestions will be considered. I am not at all in favor of corporal punishment at this age, or for quite some time. ***
