Yup, sure do. I have children ages 9, 7, 4 (all in school). Its nice to clean without chasing a kid every two seconds. But then, we are planning another child and moving this summer (military), so getting a job is not worth the trouble for a few months. The friend I know's youngest is 8/9. She doesn't work. Her husband is a contractor (here in Germany) and its pretty much illegal for her to work (wierd laws about foreign workers). She can't even work on base.

Some people prefer to be homemakers. There is nothing wrong with it. Having my kids in school and more time to myself has been nice this year. My errands stay done, my house is cleaner, and sometimes I get to surprise my husband at work with lunch. Being a housewife isn't bon bons and soaps on the couch all day. If a wife wants to stay home and the husband is ok with it, more power to them.

Sure I know plenty. My sister is a stay at home mother and her youngest is 11. If a woman doesn't want to be in paid employment and her husband earns enough to support the family then she has every right to stay home. I wish I could. My house would not look like it does every day and I wouldn't be ironing in the middle of the night or planning meals in my sleep.
