Pregnancy & Parenting - 18 December 2006

I've tried to leave him in his big boy underwear so that he will get uncomfortable but he just doesn't care. He'd rather stay in his wet pants all day then sit on the potty. How do I get him to understand? When I catch him hiding in the corner doing his business I as him if he wants to go on the potty and he says "no floor" even though he's wearing a diaper he thinks he's doing it on the floor. What will interest him to do it? I'm soooo tired of changing his pull-up. HELP

I take care of my brother as if he were my own, but I am unsure of if it will result in something bad for me. I mean I love kids, I am always watching a baby story on TLC (also bringing home baby, so I may of saw some of you all) , I alrady have name picked out for the kids I want to have .(Kaiara Juelz or Santana Alix) I am taking care of my baby brother basically (right now he is eating, finally feeding himself but our table cloth becomes a piece of artwork) and I am the only kid who probably wanted to give their mother (dont see dad at all) the talk and mom was bascially blow away and got embrassed cause I said it in the Geogria Aquarium when we visited Geogria with my cousin and her baby K.K. I am very 'backwards' as my mom cal lme cause I hated dolls up until two years ago and now you wont find my house spotless of a baby doll. (i dont really play with them that much anymore) Could this result in a teen pregnancy? (also my 'big sister' who had a baby is the person I copy so yeah)

He had been doing fine the first quarter, but has suddenly forgotten to hand in or do his assingments. He is not interested in trying to raise the grade by turning the papers in late. He just wants to start over for the remainder of this second quarter of school. He refuses to let us know what his assingments are, especially his dad. He will tell me but he will argue any suggestion I may have. He has been told that he is a smart boy, but is not appling himself. He seems angry about many things but will not open up about them. I have a disability, but I am not sure if that is the problem which relates to school. He has friends, but sometimes he can be mean to them. He has a great teacher, but doesn't realize how good he has it. I worry all the time for him,and do not know what to do to help the situation. I need help in knowing when to help, and when to stay out of it and just let him fail. He has asked me to not to tell his dad about his grades. I'm not sure if that is the way to go.

is it possible to be sure when your lmp was and still have miscalculated how far along you are? What could be a cause of this? i.e. i'm sure my lmp was sep. 22...putting me at 12 weeks but the u/s shows 7 wks....

im a week late for my period, sex is always protected and the condoms never broke, there was also no messing around or insertion but what else can it be? is it possible to get pregnant if the condom doesnt break and nothing else was inserted. i have felt like it was coming recently, but it just hasnt yet, should i worry, test, what? thanks<3

I have a 1 year old daughter and she refuses to give up her bottle. I've tried putting her to bed with a cup and she just sits in her bed and cries until she gets her bottle back...Shes fine with a cup all day until it's time for nap time or bed time..! I need help..!! any suggestions..?

By the way..I'm trying to prevent her from getting bottle rott...She has a beautiful set of teeth..!!

Ever since I got pregnant with my first child I've become very sensitive to any violence real or dramatized. I can't watch shows I use to enjoy, like the Shield, and I find myself skipping articles in the newpaper because I find almost any violence too disturbing. This has been going on for over a year now. Do other mom's have this same reaction?

My son is 15 months old, and is still not sleeping through the night. I was in the habit of getting up, getting him a bottle of water or milk, but lately, I've been trying to ignore the cries, and seeing if he will go back to sleep on his own....but, he usually doesn't. He cries louder. Is this normal for a 15 month old? And is there ANYTHING I should be doing differently to get him to sleep through the night? He goes to bed at 8:30, and he gets up at 6:30 in the morning, to go to the sitters. So I know to much sleep is not the problem. My sleep is being disturbed nightly, and my patience is wearing thin, I'm at a loss and don't know what else to do!

I was told that it is normal, but my boyfriend, (her dad), said he thinks that she isn't getting enough nutrition to hold her weight. She is 10 Months, weight is 21 pounds, (she was 8 lbs, 6 oz when she was born), and she is 28 inches long, (she was 17).

I am tired of not having privacy . I cant do anything with out my family comin git, heck I cant even take a bath with out some one coming in. I have my 'own' room but just still my brothers are always in it, my mom gets clothes from there, and I cant lock my door because my mom wont let me. I dont like to get dressed in the bathroom because they come in and make some excuse to get somethign and I always feel liek they are lookign at me but now my light doesnt work and so I cant close my door and I always got dressed in my room cause I could lock the door till I was done getting dressed (aleast under clothing) and then open it if I want to. I dont like any one seeing my body and I like to have my room to myself with out my brothers coming in dancing buttnaked too songs. What should I do?

I'm guessing i'm about 4-5 weeks pregnant. I just took a pregnancy test and figured that's how far along I am from my fertility calender that i've been traking. I haven't been to the doctor yet. I am just really nervous about how stable the baby is this early. I work in baggage at the airport and I lift and deal with heavy bags all day long. Is that going to effect my baby? I am so nervous since this is my second pregnancy (first was a miscarrage at 6 weeks) Even when i'm in the vanpool on a bumpy road I feel like it's too much bouncing. I'm sure i'm just stressing since it's my "first". I'm also worried about the air qualitly where I work. It's ventilated, (in the baggage area) but tugs and cars drive around in that area all day long.

Any suggestions or comments about either or both of these?

I had my period last month during the 14th of november and i have been trying to get pregnant with my boyfriend . and there were little tiny chunks in my period . and i think right after that me and my boyfriend had sex . but it wasnt during the time i could get pregnant cuz i checked on the computer for my fertile days . and this month i got my period the 15th of december . and it was just brown and not alot of blood . (not to be gross) but when i wipe it looks like poop. Whats wrong with me ? Am i Pregnant could I be ? and before this my discharge has been heavy
