If the ultrasound shows 7 weeks then I would go with that calculation. But, are you saying that they did not see a hearbeat on the ultrasound or only with the doppler in the ob/gyne's office? If only with the doppler, I would not be concerned. It is difficult to hear a heartbeat with a doppler until about 10-12 weeks and this also depends on the mother's weight. It is much more difficult to hear the heartbeat if the mother is overweight. Also, the size of the uterus and the fetus are calculated by certain measurements making this method of determining the due date much more accurate. Good luck!

this exact same thing happened to me. I had my last period on september first and so i was calculated at being 2 weeks further along than i actually was. when the doctor tried to hear the heartbeat she couldnt so i had an ultrasound done only to find out the baby was fine and that i was only 12 weeks instead of 14.they should be able to hear the heartbeat at 14 weeks. it was a huge relief for me! i hope it works out for you as well!

u/s dates are considered to be much more accurate the lmp dates. With my third one, my lmp date was two full months earlier then the u/s date which means I most likely missed two before I got pregnant!
