Any time in the third trimester is usually a safe bet. I wouldn't wait until too close to the due datge simply because most responsible parents will already have everything they need. I don't mean that as a criticism to anyone, it's just that most people want to make sure that they have everything their baby will need is all. The only thing about a due date in April is the weather in the preceeding months. That's a tough call. Maybe because of the chance of snow, March is the way to go, but I would do it earlier in march rather than later.

I think in mid February to March would be a good time to have the shower. I do think that January is little too early.

Yes, March will be the best option or late february. It is best to get the baby shower out of the way early because the mother to be will probably be exhausted the closer that it gets to her due date. The last two months are the most exhausting ones.

January is a bit early... maybe February. She'll want a little time to get organized before she gets too big to manuver!!
I didn't need a lot so I had my baby shower after the baby was born... that way everyone got to see her, and could by knowing what sex she was.

You can have the baby shower really anytime you want to even after the baby is born is good too. However generally it is normally thrown in the 7th or 8th month. You don't want to wait to long incase labor is early.
Have a Great Day...and Good LUck

Any time after the pregnancy is confirmed is acceptable. Most people have them 2-3 months before the due date because any close gets to be hard to the mom to enjoy - or they may wait until after the birth.

You should wait until you can hear the baby's heartbeat at the doctor's office and when you know for sure you won't miscarry for whatever reason. You can have your baby shower anytime you want by now but it would be a good idea to wait until after the holidays. Congrats! :)

Generally they are done in the 8th month. But if the mom to be is known to have early pregnancies or is likely to be confined the last part of her pregnancy, earlier may be better. Many feel it is bad luck to have it too early.
