My daughter's class is having an x-mas party in a few days, and they're doing the "Secret Santa" gift exchange. She was assigned to buy something for one of her classmates (a 9 yr old boy). The teacher asked us to buy a gift that doesn't exceed five dollars, and we have no clue what to get him. What are your ideas?

a pack of Yugioh cards, hot wheels, comic books, (ones related to the current popular games) Wrestling figurine,
5$ is hard for a nine year old. they are all about electronics and stuff like that. I think skateboarding is making a comeback too , but again, the 5$ thing is an issue. Try a book.
Magic Tree House series or Harry Potter, of Series of Unfortunate events, or maybe an Animorphs (also a series) I know books are boring but it may be your only option here. Maybe a book about Pokemon or Yugioh?

If you have a Gamestop store or access to Ebay, try finding used PS2 or XBox games, have your daughter listen in on him and his friends to find out which he is talking about. If that isn't possible, Yu gi oh cards are the next best thing. Or maybe a watch. Good Luck Happy Holidays.

Toy Soldiers (Green Army Men), they cost about $2 to $3 per bag. oddly enough, if you look closely at their uniforms and weapons, the design is from the late 1950's army combat uniform and weapons of that era.

depends on the boy. he may like a car...or on the other hand he may like some tangerine lip gloss. i suggest just staying with the non gender specific gifts such as a puzzle or book.
