Honey, dont worry, I was in the same boat as you couple weeks back and this is my 3rd child. The doctor said i would get bigger this time around........when?, i ask now.
Every woman is different. With my 1st two children, you wouldnt think i was far along as i really was and the same applies now. Im 35 weeks 2 days along now and I look like what a 4 or 5 month along woman usually looks like.
Everything is fine with me and the baby and the other two were born 8lbs and 7lbs.
Question really is..........where the hell is the baby hiding inside me?
Just be thankful......you might not get stretch marks or barely any at all, plus you wont get the more serious issues associated with woman who carry bigger than you and I.

You aren;t even half way there, so there is no need to worry. Healthy weight gain for a pregnancy is 20-30 lbs max - and most of that you should gain in the last 3 months of the pregnancy. If you are concerned, ask your doctor, but I think you will find that he will tell you not to worry. At this point, the baby is still fairly small.
I used the Baby Center pregnancy estimater as an example. For my weight and hieght, the average weight gain would be 20lbs over an entire pregnancy. Since I should expect to gain 2.6 lbs every 4 weeks the last two trimesters - that means 17 of those pounds will be gained after 13/14 weeks. SO, lol - that would mean that at 18 weeks I would expect to have gained about 5 pounds on average.

Ask yourself
What have they said at the hospital. What has your doctor or midwife said, have they said anything? If they haven't said anything ask them, am I gaining enough weight? You should really voice your concerns to your health care professional.
Are you experiencing Nausea?
I Myself am pregnant almost 7months and I know what it is to feel like you might not have gained enough. Cause I'm a skinny person to begin with, so me with a little weight doesn't look bad. When I was 3months, you couldn't tell. Some people think I look small for what I am., and some people say I look big. Just think if you were at normal weight you should gain 25-35 pounds. What I do is I do the math every ounce an a while and and think how close to my goal am I, and about how how long I have left.Try to stick to your diet, on the pyramid, eat as much as you can, because you can guilt free. Because you have a reason for being fatter. Best of luck with your pregnancy.

Sounds like this is your first pregnancy. Sometimes it takes longer for some women to begin to show if it's their first. I just barely started to show at 18 weeks with my daughter. Don't worry it will all begin to happen really fast now. The second half of the send trimester and the third trimester the baby grows very rapidly. Don't worry too much about the weight gain yet. That will happen too. They say that you should only gained between 25-35 pounds. (I gained 30 and didn't put it on until about 18 weeks)You have plenty of time for that. You also might be showing a little more than you think. It's often hard for ourselves to tell since we see ourselves everyday. Best of luck and congrats!! I am also about 17 1/2 weeks with my second!!

It's because you eat healthy. Actually women's pregnancy's are all different in my pregnancy in the matter of 24 hours I gained 20lbs I also stretched so far out that my skin ripped and instead of stretchmarks i have scars while my neice hid her pregnancy and still wore tight clothes up until she gave birth to her 8lb baby. There is nothing wrong with looking small as long as the baby inside is healthy. That's just the way you carry your weight... So as long as you get your ultra sounds and do as your suppose to the way you look physically has nothing to do with it. I've had one friend who gave birth to a 10lb daughter she was still wearing a size 6 jeans (not squeezing) the day she gave birth. You and may not be retaining the extra weight that most women get.. there's nothing wrong with that it happens.. you'll probably gain all your weight right before delivery... it happens all too often

Unless your doctor is concerned, don't worry about it, hon.
I only gained 1kg (2.2 pounds) with my second bub, and he came out just fine.
My grandmother spent most of her second pregnancy on a ship between England and Australia and she could still wear the same clothes just before giving birth as she did when she fell pregnant.
Keep taking the vitamins, keep eating well, and try not to worry. Most women would kill to be having this problem!!

U sound like you are eight months. If you belly is tiny is because you have a tiny baby. Check with the doctor if the doctor is weird then you should be to but until then keep the stress to a minimum. Good Luck
