My period is late (up to day 32) but my cycle can at times be a bit longer than 28 days. I took a test last Friday (neg) but this may have been too early. Last week I was tired and a bit 'crampy', but I am feeling fine now... Has anyone else found out they were pregnant after their period was late, but had experienced no other symptoms in the first few weeks? I will take another test in the morning, praying for the best.

My son is almost 5 weeks old. He has cradle cap. Everything i have read indicates that cradle cap only affects the baby scalp. His skin is breaking out as well. The doc said that this is from the flakes dropping on his face, and causing irration. Has anyone whose child every had cradle cap every have it with a breakout of bumps on his/her back. Also, if your child has had cradle cap how long did it take to go away. The doc has already told me what to use.

I have 2 severed special needs children of mental retardation and mental illness with autism and another autistic child and a regular smart child as well. Different kinds of diets, no gluten, high fiber, and low cal and etc are factors of cooking, and life in general can be challenging. The ages are from 15 to 7 years, and yes they are all my, not foster/adopted. I'm asked alot about that. My kids believes in Santa Claus, so questions about toys to adult stuff will be asked. My kids are supervised when on the computer, and just wanted to asked about the allison doll for the 7yr old, but the 12 yr boy mind is the same level as of4 yr. and the 15 yr girl mind of 6 or7 yrs age, and the 10 yr the mind of 8 yrs. So I am not angry, but blessed, and am I the only one who have more than one special needs child? Just looking for support and answers to make a better person out of me to make a difference for my kids, and my husband.

me and my girlfriend are 15 and she is pregnant. I am going to stay with her. We cant decide on what to do with the baby. ABORTION IS NOT AN OPTION! It is either keep it or adoption. IF we keep it we will have some finanical problems but hopefully our familys can help a little. Another problem is I wont be able to see it because we live in 2 different towns about 15 miles apart. She will also have to quit school. A problem with adoption is that it really is not right and it will be hard to do. HELP

I am almost 25 weeks pregnant and I have some questions:

im a "slinder" women, well in the waist anyways, and at 6 months im really not showing, i thought your uterus was supposed to hit your belly button at 20 weeks, and so your belly button would pop out, but mines not even close to looking like it will.

can you really gain weight eating peanut butter on toast and bananas? i love the combo, but its not doing much... and i really need to gain weight because arent you supposed to gain an average of a pound a week? what if you cant? ive been stuck at 153 for 2 months...

my tummy doesnt have stretch marks...should i count this as a blessing??? i mean i have them on my "love handles" but those were already there! and when is this linia nigeira?(dark line down your stomach) supposed to show? all ive gotten is a furry belly and veins, another not so great blessing?

has anyone every been treated for bacterial vaginosious??? i just did, and heard its dangerous...

My son started kindergarten in September and he is very shy. He had a very hard time the first few weeks, but by the end of the month he had started making friends, and actually started looking forward to going to school.

Then, we were told we had to change schools. My son started a new school two weeks ago, and he is having a really hard time. He doesn't want to make new friends, and when I ask him what names he has learned, he just starts talking about his friends from the old school.

The teacher said some days he does okay, but other days he will crawl under the table in the corner and jsut watch everyone. Last week, he spent an entire day sitting there playing with his jacket! I am not sure what I can do with him here at home, what I can say to him, etc to reassure him that this new school is okay, that he won't have to leave these new friends right away, etc.

I thought about going to school with him, but the teacher thought that might teach him that if he acts up, mommy stays.

Its not even December yet and my daughter has told me that so and so told her "there's no such thing as Santa, its just your parents". I choose for my kids to experience Santa. I feel if you choose not to, you should tell your kids not to say anything. Its really a personal decision and it annoys me so much! Same goes with the tooth fairy! My daughter hasnt even lost a tooth yet, and already someone has spoiled it for her.
Childhood is magical in my opinion. And for all those who will say "you shouldnt lie to your kids blah blah" yes Ive heard this argument - so dont even bother. I dont tell your kids to believe in Santa - you shouldnt tell mine not to! Phew! Enough already. Comments?

About a month ago we went to a wedding (my hubbys side of the fam) I met his aunt, who seemed really nice. I only had one conversation w/her making small talk. I told her I was going to do a "mommy & me" swimming class w/my 1 yr old. She told me they shouldnt do swim lessons untill age 4. I told her it wasnt a class, just play time in the water, me holding him the entire time. Anyway, I got a package from her in the mail today. She sent me the Super-Nanny book as well as an article torn out of a mag about the reasons you should not put kids in swim lessons until age 4, AND she circled it and highlighted parts!! I am so insulted by this. First of all I have seen that show (supernenny) and my kids DO NOT act like that!! They are well behaved and I have taught them good manners. I am insulted and a bit angry, as I spent no more than 20 minutes with this woman! My hubby thinks I am overreacting. Am I? I would never even give my best friend that book unless she specifically asked for it.

Ok, I know its not a pleasant sight or sound when you see a child screaming at the top of their lungs taking a tantrum. The best resolution? Take the screaming child outside, right? You don't want to hear it, and the parents sure don't want you to either. My daughter had a mega blowout today in wal mart, and we did the proper thing...we took her out to the car and went home. Why do people stare at you like you have a screaming alien in your arms? I got so many bad stares, mumbles, and it made me even more upset these people were judging me! Anyone ever have the same situation? I would really love input on parents and those without children. Was I wrong to take her outside? I know I shouldn't let others stares bother me, but for some reason tonight it did.

I have a 10 month old boy, he has been diagnosed with reflux when he was 3 monrths. He took Zantac for 2 months but there was no improvement. He still spits up frequently but doesnt mind it much. It has hardly improved at all since he was younger. He is on Enfamil Lipil but at one point his doc switched him to Ailimentum, but that only made it worse. He is underweight but his doctors arent to worried about it, but i cant help but worry about it. He does eat alot but if he eats to much at once he spits up alot more. I would like any suggestions on how to help him get more calories? I also want to know if anyone has had or known a baby to spit up alot at 10 months also? What things have worked to help your child from spitting up?

We have a 3 bedroom house and no possibility of moving to a 4 bedroom or adding on at the moment. We have a 9 year old girl, a 20 month old girl and another girl on the way. I know the baby will be in the same room with us for a short while in the bassinett but who should share a room? My vote is for the two little ones since the oldest is so much older. I thought I would seek out opinions and advice from other parents that have dealt with the same type of situation.
