I am almost 25 weeks pregnant and I have some questions:

im a "slinder" women, well in the waist anyways, and at 6 months im really not showing, i thought your uterus was supposed to hit your belly button at 20 weeks, and so your belly button would pop out, but mines not even close to looking like it will.

can you really gain weight eating peanut butter on toast and bananas? i love the combo, but its not doing much... and i really need to gain weight because arent you supposed to gain an average of a pound a week? what if you cant? ive been stuck at 153 for 2 months...

my tummy doesnt have stretch marks...should i count this as a blessing??? i mean i have them on my "love handles" but those were already there! and when is this linia nigeira?(dark line down your stomach) supposed to show? all ive gotten is a furry belly and veins, another not so great blessing?

has anyone every been treated for bacterial vaginosious??? i just did, and heard its dangerous...

Okay...to answer your questions...

1) Not everyone's belly button pops out. Mine never did.
2) If your doctor is telling you your weight gain is fine, then it is. I LOST weight while pregnant, so there's no telling what will happen. Just eat heathy and take your prenatals and you'll be fine.
3) Stretch marks are horrible. I have them from stem to sternum and they AREN'T pretty. Count your blessings on that one.
4) Linia Nigera: I never got it...most women do.
5) Bacterial Vaginosous: I'm not sure what that is, I'm sorry.

If your doctor isn't worried then don't get stressed out. Not all women show the same way. I was small when I carried my son. Some women don't start looking like they're pregnant until after the 7th month. Don't worry about the weight gain either. Some women don't gain much and some have actually lost weight right after becoming pregnant but then gained some later on. Just remember you don't want to gain too much because it isn't always baby. Everyone doesn't get stretch marks either and be thankful for that. If you are still concerned talk to your doctor or even check your phonebook for the W.I.C. program. They are always happy to answer any questions you might have. I don't know when the dark line shows either. I never paid any attention when I was pregnant with my son. As for the last question you had, I've never heard of it so I can't help any there.

it's normal to not show sometimes because your baby can be more towards your back.. As far as the weight gain your baby will still get all it needs if you are eating healthy, some women lose weight and some gain maybe only 5 lbs! And the stretch marks ?? Why would you want those?? Some women that have good skin genetics dont get em. It does'nt matter how much vitamin e or cocoa butter or shea butter you rub on, if you are gonna get em you are gonna get em. And bacterial infections are common during pregnancy. You and baby will be fine, a tip though would be to make sure you wipe from front to back ALWAYS! And baby wipes are great to use to make sure you stay really clean. Unscented ones though, you dont want a yeast infection!!

I didn't gain when I was pregnant, in fact I lost 13lbs, If you doctor isn't concerned then you shouldn't worry.Count the no stretch marks as a blessing for now BELIEVE me there coming! I didn't even pop til I was 71/2 months and all of a sudden I had a belly, stretch marks and the line of hair. I don't know if this is the same but I had 2 UTI well pregnant(for you bacterial question) and everyting was fine they gave me pills and it cleared up.

First of all, congratulations!! Every pregnancy is different, so if you're not getting the "normal" pregnancy stuff, don't worry about it. My sister in law has three children and no stretch marks, she's a skinny one too. Eat whatever you can and want to eat as long as it's not something that will harm you or the baby. I didn't gain that much in my first pregnany, so don't worry about that either. And last, but certainly not least....if you don't feel comfortable with something your doctor is doing or saying, get a second opinion...YOU HAVE THAT RIGHT!!!! That's what saved my daughter's life!!! I wish you well in your motherhood journeys!!
