I think it would also be so cute to have Evie as a nickname.

Personally, I think it does. It is a pretty name, but I just don't connect it with a young girl. A friend in school had that as a middle name, and I have heard of one Evelyn more my age. But it's not something I particularly care for. But also, it's not my choice, so if you really like it, use it. You can use the nickname when she is young, and when she is older Evelyn will fit better.

I agree it is a beautiful name. Old fashioned names are becoming so trendy now. Who would have thought that these names would make such a come back?

Working at a a school that goes from infants till 8th grade some of the little ones that come in are: Charlotte, Isabelle, Lydia, Lillian, Lilly, Emma, Sarah, Caroline, Madalyn, Grace....and not just one of these names....oodles of them.

I like it!

i admire the call Evelyn. i don't think of that's only too old college. i think of that's a appealing call that's coming lower back in type. I desire Evelyn over Eve. i think of Evie is a greater valuable nickname.

Evelyn is old fashioned. and maybe a bit TOO old fashioned for this next generation, but i agree, it is pretty. Its such an innocent name isnt it. Reminds me of the girl of Pearl Harbor.. love that movie!

It's not too old-fashioned at all. In fact, it's very trendy. It's climbing up the popularity charts along with the other Ava/Eva/Eve names.

Evie is a very cute nn. I really like it.
