Try burping him every ounce. My daughter had this for a short period of time because I have it, but the doctor said she grew out of it. You can grow out of it when your a baby, but sometimes it takes away. Also try sitting him upright, not laying down, when get eats. Don't let him play either right afterwards because that obviously will cause vomitting or spit-up. I'm on Zantac and somedays it helps, and some days it doesn't. Try giving him a little bit of seven-up (maybe an ounce to every 3 ounces of water). That's one thing my baby's doctor prescribed for her. It seemed funny at first, but she's the same age as your son and it did help a lot when she was throwing up everything. Hope that helps!

My daughter has severe reflux. She had a Nissen fundoplication and a g_tube. She is now on previcid and Reglan. First of all, try adding cereal to his formula. Babies do not spit thickened formula as much. Also his formula can be mixed higher calorie. We mix my daughters at 24 calories per ounce. Normally mixed it is 20 calorie. To do this with a typical formula it is one and a quarter scoops per 2 ounces of water. 4 oz water would get 2 and a half scoops. Etc. My daughter jsut recently made it to the line on the preemie growth chart. She weighed 2 lbs 10 oz at birth. She is now about 15 and a half pounds. Good Luck.

My daughter ( now 8 yrs old) used to throw up at every turn , no matter what we did but yet she still thrived. We tried all the suggestions, not moving her around after she ate , and all that. She did have reflux too. We also tried all different formulas but she seemed to do best on Isomil. She threw up until she was about a year old and then it kinda resolved itself. Good luck.
** one day she came home from preschool ( about 4 yrs old ) and threw up red all over the carpet... i was horrified but later found out she had red cupcakes for someones birthday in school! We still have to limit her intake of colored food.

Well my baby at 3 weeks was diagnosed with reflux, and was told to go on Zantax. However when we saw the specialist, she said not to go on it because most babies will grow out of it within a year; so we never had her on it. Instead she gave my baby a scan and found out she had Pyloric Stenosis. She had surgery within a few days and a matter couple of days she no longer threw up.

If you have a "happy spitter" one that is gaining and thriving and does not cry because of the spitting up, do nothing -what you have is a laundry problem not a medical problem.

You can try to limit his feeds, you can try giving him lots of meats to help make up for calories and nutrients, but honestly your baby is probably fine and will likely outgrow it by 12 months. (Mine did around 7 months) Read the article at the above link ;)

the two one in all my breastfed infants had the comparable issue. there is somewhat no thank you to resign the spitting up, yet your dr. can perscribe some medicine (my toddler takes zantak) to decrease the acid and make it harm somewhat much less. Be happy which you're no longer employing formula b/c the iron will stain all your outfits!

my daughter was exactly this way. ask to see a specialist in radiology. they will track your sons digestive system. they found a blockage in my daughters and gave her some drops that cleared every thing up in a week...after 11months of spitting up! that was all that worked for me. in the mean time dont feed him red, orange, blue, purple foods to avoid staining of absolutely every fabric in site! good luck
