Okay this is kinda weirs... i've had a baby before and never heard this. I was having some really bad back pains on saturday so i went in and the dr said that i was in the early stage of labor, and sent me home. He also said the my cervix was still at a 90 degree angle.. i am dialating and effacing but not much (1 cm) so does this mean that i am in labor? the dr said that my body has flipped the switch but not all the way on.. ( hes old) i am still having th aching in my back but not the shooting pains i was having. And my baby has become very active since then. So should i be expecting the baby ? or when should i expect the baby? how do i get some progress going withthis?? (39 wks)

Just asking out of interest really. I'm 30, married andv happy with my husband. I really want a baby but when I think about it too hard I think No I'm not ready. But I would make a good mum I know I would but I just can't be 100% in my head. But then I've never been the broody type thats gone mad over other people babies. Is this normal???? What does anyone think?

I just found out that i'm pregnant. My doctor doesn't want to see me until i'm about 9 weeks, due to the fact that they can hear the heart beat, and an ultrasound. Is this typical??

She was the problem, so she was told day after day,
So she did her best to stay out of his way.
She’d sit there on her bed, waiting for him to come home,
She’d hear his heavy boots come close, and pray he’d leave her alone.

The neighbors heard the screaming, but they chose to ignore,
They turned up their tv sets till they heard the sounds no more.

Turn out the lights, let her be, all the signs we failed to see,
Those bruises were more than accidents, a young lost soul with no defense.
And we all wondered, but never dared to ask,
And now she’s lying on the floor with one last.. gasping breath,
And in the morning papers they will announce her death.

But it's just another story on the back of the second page, no big deal, it happens everyday.
Have you ever stopped to think, that you could have made the diffrence, that that little girl was crying out, you heard her, but did you listen?

Im 14 be nice, and I want this to do with god watching these people ignore.

Yes, we like "different" names, and I have a "different" name that I LOVED having growing up so please don't give me the lecture on how she'll get teased. These names aren't THAT bad. lol

Ellarie- we'd call her either Ellie or Ella for short
Alaina- we'd call her Laney
or, just name her Laney?

I'm in my 36th week this week, for you women who experienced this pain how long did you feel this before the baby came? Throughout my pregnancy I would feel pains but then they would go away and this one hasn't yet. I don't feel any muscle uncomfortableness inside just the bone pain and thigh pain.

I had terrible morning sickness until about 30 wks with my daughter. I started about 10wks. I'm 6wks pregnant now and I don't want to go through the same experience. (Puking about everyother day). I tried the sea bands...they didn't work. I tried mints. They kind of worked, but then I got so sick of them, they kind of had the opposite affect.
Other things I tried:
Ginger Snaps
Preggy Pops
yogurt...Never could keep the strawberry down.
saltines, didn't like them

This morning was my first round of morning sickness and it only lasted about 10 mins. I ate some honey wheat pretzels. But if this every fails, I want some good ideas to fall back on. And...I'm kind of worried this is starting so soon.
Thank you for your care and advice!!!

(BTW, I'm a full-time working mom with a 7 mos daughter at home. Luckily as far as sleep goes, She's in bed by 7:30, asleep by 8, and I don't have to wake up until 5:30am)

Over the last 2 months, all negative. Many HPTs. 2 urine tests at the Dr's office. 3 blood tests. 2 ultrasounds (the last Nov. 3). Don't want to be pregnant, on the pill.

I have been very lucky my 5 month old has been sleeping through the night since 6 wks. I put her down after her last feeding and change and she just goes to sleep no problem But the last few nights have been hell. She has been waking up like an hour after I put her to bed for no apparent reason. She is not hungry sometimes not even wet its not gas or a fever and as far as I can tell she is not teething yet. She does chew a lot during the day but she is happy and not cranky during the day. She just wants to be up and cry unless you go in there. I have had to rock her to sleep like she is a new born. I don’t know why or what is going on. Should I just let her cry or what? I am pulling my hair out. It takes like three hours to get her to sleep.

Any other parents out there who give thier babies soy?

My daughter likes to sit in the refrigerator. There have been many times that I have come home from work and found here sitting in there freezing. I tried to warn her against doing this becuase it is very dangerous but she insist on doing it because she says that the leftovers speak more freely to her while she is in there. Is there anything that I can do to stop this behavior?? Help please

I mean like if you want to send your child to preschool they have to pass a hearing test otherwise they can't be enrolled. In kindergarten the children are suppossed to know how to read and write before they can be enrolled and teachers hold the kids back if they're deaf or have an LD. LD is learning disibility. In kindergarten children are taught writing, math, geography, history, earth science, reading, and government. I mean come on no kindergartener is going to pay attention to government or history! Don't you think as parents that our education system is not letting our children have the freedom to just be kids anymore? In some states they're trying to ban recess because it cuts into "Vaulable class time". What happened to the days when all kids were taught in kindergarten was art, writing/reading and math? Are we so obssessed with our children being good in school that we're going to forget that just being a kid is important as well? What will thet ban next lunch?

I had my first baby's ultrasound today at 22 weeks. Baby's development is fine, everything is healthy and we are expecting a boy.

Now I want to let friends know in an email about the news. What is a good/fun way of titling the subject? In the body I will just let em know that my hub and I went for the ultrasound and came back with news of a healthy baby boy? What is a nice/interesting way to title this? Boy on the way is too boring, then no one will read further.
Our last name is Kumar, so should we say Boy or Girl Kumar? I need some suggestions. Thanks!
