If you get a regular pap and your pregnant is that going to make you miscarry?

Skip the pap, get a blood test. It is more accurate:

Yes, paps are usually different, as far as results when you are pregnant, no you will not miscarry from a pap, yes it is the same pap as your regular annual exam. Yes they can tell if you are pregnant from a pap if you are at least six to eight weeks along, there are some changes that occur normally to your cervix, like color changes, etc. So, I hope this answers your questions.

A Pap scrapes the wall of your cervix for abnormal cells. They can't tell if you are pregnant through a pap. However, they can tell if you are pregnant through blood or urine samples. They usually do these in conjunction with a pelvic exam. If you think you are pregnant, tell your doctor.
The pap you get when you are pregnant is usually done very early in the pregnancy. It is exactly the same (you may bleed some from it because your cervix is swollen). A prenatal pap will not cause a miscarriage.

Nope, the PAP is the same. I have never heard of anyone miscarrying form a PAP, but check with your doctor if you are really concerned. No, a PAP is not like a pregnancy test, they wouldn't know if you were pregnant or not...unless you were really far along and it was obvious. If you doctor doesnt know you are pregnant, tell him before the test.

most paps are the same, its jsut see if you have any infections. the only to see if your prego is if you take a urine or blood test, usually they take urine when you go in for a pap. if your unsure ask your docotor to check for you. no you cannot misscarry from a pap.
