Pregnancy & Parenting - 2 November 2006

My daughter is almost 10 months, she's been ill for about 2 months with a condition that makes her really uncomfterble sometimes. Now for the past few weeks she crys every time I put her down. I've got 2 other little ones to tend to so I can't hold her all the time. But I do pick her up when ever I can. She immediatly calms down the second I pick her up. Am I spoiling her or just being a good mama?

Will women Ovulates once in period.
After ovulating how many days the egg will be alive?
We have to do sex only on the day she ovulates to get pregnent????

This is so annoying. Why do many women in here keep asking all these stupid questions? They either 1. try to get attention, 2. can't afford to buy a preg test. 3. they're having too much unprotected sex.....Now this people have problems.......I mean.....I also have unprotected sex once in awhile and I don't want to get pregnant either, but not because of that Im going to be asking everyone around month after month..."could i be preggo? ..could i be preggo"....shh is about time for this people to grow up.....YOU EITHER BUY A PREGNANCY TEST, GO TO THE DOCTOR, OR STOP HAVING UNPROTECTED SEX!

For the very first year i took care not to get preg. once or twice in a year i used condoms, in the second year i got preg. just after one or two times sex. My Hubby was always not interested in sex, I was 25 when got married and in the first 2 years i didnt notice, But after wards i went for my check ups almost all check ups and each and every thing was clear, he had 2 % fast farwarding sperms and dr. said i connot become a mother 9 becaze of 2% fast forwarding sperms) 98% are dead or slow but afer words i concieved and ended up in misscarage, Now I m 32, i can see that harly we had sex once or twice ina month and sometimes after 4 to 5 months that made me fusturated altogether, but still he is nt into. Does this happen in men that they are least bothered in sex. In last 1 1/2 years we had sex not more thn 4 times. Pls. serious anwer. Dont be rude....

when i was a child, both my parents smoked in the house, a pack a day each. It disgusted me and embarrsed me to go to school smelling like it, & that my friends wouldnt come over because of the smell. 13 of our family members have died because of smoking-related lungcancer and/or emphysema. I dont understand how they can still smoke. The idea of seeing my parents die early and horrible deaths because of their addiction scares me. I know we will all die someday, but still, its horrible. My dad would even tell me to leave him alone, and that I would probably end up smoking just like all my older brothers. I've never had so much as a drag. Now that we are all out of the house, & they live in a nice place, they dont smoke indoors anymore. I will always be a little bitter that they didnt have the courtesy to take it outiside while we were growing up. For those of you who do this to your kids, maybe you should listen to them. Everyone else, am i wrong to be offended by what they did?

I am living in Canada, I am Canadian now, I am going to have a baby in 2 months, I had a hard pregnant and when my mother applied for a visa to come here and help me from Iran they refuse to give her one? I even ask some help from PM office but nothing has changed? do you know of any way that I can get my mom here... I need her so badly and since this morning that I learned they refuse her again, I can not stop crying, and she too... do you have any idea??? any help???

My boyfriend and I were having sex when the condom slipped off. When we realized it, he pulled out, but he was too close for my comfort and his as well. Needless to say, he was very close to cumming, and it is worrying both of us. I was on day 14 after my period started. I had stopped bleeding on day 6 after it started, so could I be pregant? Is there a chance?

I really cant stand these neighbors. They are annoying. I know lot sof secrets about them, that I know if the other neighbors knew, they would be absolutely mortified. (For example, this neighbor used to be a stripper and drugee!) Should I expose their secrets? Or dont you think it's right?

Son's dad dumped me when he found out I was pregnant. Have had problems ever since. He hardly ever contacts my son. Yet his mom says he has an interest in writing and talking to him again. (it's been off and on for years) My son is 10. Should I just say "the heck with ya?" and not give him a chance - or give him a chance because he is his biologocial dad? (fyi - hes mad because i went to court for child suport)

I have just caught my 16 year old son smoking cigarettes. He drives his own car, and I was running to the grocery store to get some stuff for my wife and I to eat dinner. I saw him driving down a main road puffing away in his car. I have never smelled it on him, or in his car for that matter, and I go to his car often to check things out. He is a straight A student, very smart, and I am clueless as to why he would do this.

He says he's been smoking for over 2 Years, and It just about broke my heart. That means he's been smoking since 9th Grade. He's a Jr this year.

He smokes a half a pack (I am assuming 10 cigarettes) a day. This is unbeleivable I am in shock.

I found a half carton of Marlboro cigarettes in his car wedged up under the seat, and this is so troubling because I am a non-smoker.

PLEASE help me, any advice? I haven't given him a punishment yet, I told him I needed time to think. And I do.

The Dr. told me my daughter is suppose to be drinking 20 minutes on both sides. But she always falls asleep on the fisrt breastfeeding and sometimes doesn't even finish out the 1st 20 minutes. Is she getting enough milk.When she falls asleep on one side the next feeding time I just continue on the next breast that my breastfeeding is equeal. I left a message to the lactation people two days ago and i still haven't got a cal back.

My 9 month old started waking up several times a night about 2 months ago. I've been told to start her on meats at 6mo but she dosent like meat only her fruits and orange colored vegis..ie carrots and sweet potatoes... is this normal?

After sex, even after I lay with my bottom under a pillow for 20-30 min. The semen still runs out, I know it will a little but I have to cross my legs and run to the bathroom. Is this normal and if not why is it happening? Please help!!!!

My husband has two children, ages 6 and 11. Their mother sends the oldest to us with a pre-paid cell phone. We've had several issues including his staying up at night to play games on the phone. Also, when he gets in trouble, he calls mom, tells her part of the story and usually not even close to the truth. Last, he's run the phone out of minutes on several occasions and cannot account for the time. Those phone are quite expensive to recharge! He's proven to us he's just not mature enough to handle the responsibility of having a cell phone. Another concern is the fact that their mom won't call to talk to the youngest child which breaks our daughter's heart. We have never not allowed the children to call their mother when they're with us and we do not listen in on their conversations. There's no reason she cannot call the house phone our cells to talk with the kids. Are we within our rights to tell her no to sending our son to us with a cell phone? Any advice on the situation?
