My kids have a pair sandals for going swimming and other water activities, but for everyday wear we do not allow them to wear sandals with a few exceptions. As far as flipflops never. They are bad for their feet and are unsafe. Are me and my wife the only one that feels this way?

She has been allergic to eggs for years and equivalent to eggs is 99% of what's in a store. We already make everything at home, so it's not much a change for us to find out she's allergic to nuts too. However, we are scared of dirty hands and her being at school. No one could be egg and nut free with their kids and we understand. They don't realize that it isn't actually the nuts and eggs - but the warnings, equivalents, and simple exposure of what they touch!

I keep thinking my daughter isn't going to make it through the day at school. They are trying, but there's only so much the school can do. My daughter is in denial and tries to eat others' food - no matter the threat. She's been in her room without toys or furniture for weeks until she earns them back. Doesn't help. She goes to the hospital for attacks and then does the same thing again. She's 6 and really doesn't understand danger.

Anyone else gone through this?

The stress in our life and marriage has been pretty unbarable. My husband seems to be addictive in nature, he used to smoke, I made him quit, he started drinking caffine in mass amounts (2-4 red bulls a day) and finally he stopped that (although he still drinks too much coke and coffee) now, since he has to work all the time and full time school, he has taken to drinking a lot. He'll go through over half a huge bottle of rum and at least a six pack of beer in a week. I've been trying to tell him he is turning into an alcoholic and should quit now before it gets worse, but he thinks it's stupid. He's really really stubborn, he never listens and thinks he has complete control over his body, so addiction to him is just not possible. What can I do to keep him from becoming and alcoholic? He's drinking more and more each week...

I just took a warm bath and as I was getting out I noticed some veiny blood clots in the bath tub. Now, I lost my mucous plug about 3 days ago, I am 3cm dilated, 70% effaced. This is my 2nd pregnancy. I feel stupid for asking for an opinion on what to do....but I never experienced ANY of this with my 1st. I am 37 and 3 days. Thanks.

creating any sort of problem but my own!

She's my third and I am sooo entralled with everything she does. I have to snuggle her (and the others) when I am near them. But they are sooo cute. SOOOO CUTE. I love shopping for their little clothes and getting them things. I am worried about spoiling them. Can you love them too much? I sometimes think other people don't really love their kids when I see how they interact. Is that wrong? Maybe it's because I was told I couldn't have any, therefore I am too grateful, too often.

okay so she likes this boy who is like 10 years older than her. she's 14. im 15. he's like 24. she's been talking to him for 3 months and she claims she's "in love". i seriously doubt she is. all she talks about is him and she's driving me nuts. i dont even like the guy. he looks like a crackhead and stuff. i dont think they've had sex yet, but they could because she told me that he asked her about it. i dont like her hanging with this guy. what do i tell her cuz ive told her not to hang out with him and she's just getting mad at me. how do i help her to stop talking to him. wat if he tries to rape her?

I have a 10 month old son, and while I am more and more in love with him every day, I constantly worry. Every time I hear a story on the news about a child being severely injured or killed or when people insist on telling me their horror stories of kids being hurt I lose sleep at night worrying about the "what ifs". I know that tragic accidents can happen in a split second, even to children with the best of parents. I try to be cautious without being an overprotective parent. I child proofed my house and know that I'm doing the best job that I can, but I still worry. I suppose it's good in a way because it makes me more cautious and more aware of the things that can happen so I can prevent accidents, but I hate to be worried when I should be ecstatic that I have this precious little boy! Am I normal? Does every new mommy feel this way? Does it ever ease up? I would really appreciate some advice or just to know that other are feeling this way too.

I am a mom of two girls age 12 and 9. My son is two and when I change his diaper (we are currently pottytraining too), he grabs his boy parts and tends to be kinda rough that even I whince. He plays with his parts and has even put his finger in the spot where it just doesnt belong. I dont remember my girls doing this. Other parents have told me not to discourage this.

Also my son has a cold with a cough. He needs a set of shots that are due but Ive been told not to get them while he is sick. Is it safe anyway?

He also started waking thru the night and screams holy terror when I wont pick him up and lay down with him. I dont even have to lay with him. He is content to sleep on the love seat as long as I am on the couch too. He does this because I lay with him and watch tv till he crashes out. I dont want to give up the cuddle time. He's my last baby as I cant have anymore. If I leave him in his crib to cry he cries enough to make himself throw up. Im such a pushover.

I'm signifigantly overweight. I stand 5' 7" tall and i weigh 233 lbs. This is my first pregnancy and I'm just curious about a few things. When you're my size or bigger, I know there are going to be a few minor differences. I understand that. What I really wanted to know was, at what point were you able to actually feel your uterus? Either from the outside or inside? Did you begin to feel "tight" on the inside long before it was visible? If so, at what point in your pregnancy did you feel it? I'm still in my first trimester and just not feeling very pregnant and was wondering when I could look forward to feeling some changes. I'm fully aware that we're all different, I just wanted to know your experience. Did you have any complications due to weight?
