I just took a warm bath and as I was getting out I noticed some veiny blood clots in the bath tub. Now, I lost my mucous plug about 3 days ago, I am 3cm dilated, 70% effaced. This is my 2nd pregnancy. I feel stupid for asking for an opinion on what to do....but I never experienced ANY of this with my 1st. I am 37 and 3 days. Thanks.

go now to the hospital about those clots. But I agree, you do sound like baby is coming. And don't feel stupid. You went strait to where you could get some answers when you could have stood and stared like an idiot and waited for something to happen. Good luck! I hope all goes well at the docs!!! seeing blood means your cervix is changing. How long ago were you 3 cm dilated? Are you contracting. Blood though should be checked. It is important to know if the baby is head down and that the cord can not come down thru the cervix. Did your water break in the tub? To tell, if you are still leaking even after drying off then it may have. Being that this is your 2nd baby I would call the dr office or hospital, which ever you were to do if you were in labor and let them know. 2nd labors can go very fast compared to 1st times and it is likely since you saw blood that you either lost the last part of your plug or your cervix is now more than 3 cm. Either way it is good to call and ask what they want you to do.

Mine was out within a couple of hours. Go to the hospital now. They will send you home if they want, but don't risk it.
This was my third and the first time I had a bloody show. So, I lounged around and suddenly my water broke. I wish I had been at the hospital already.

A bloody show can be in many forms. Clear with lite blood, or pink spots. Your best bet would be to be seen by your ob doctor. I have always been told during my pregnancys theres never a wrong or stupid thing to get seen for. Its better to be safe then sorry.

it constantly worked that way for me! the two cases purely in the previous or on the onset of exertions I had a bloody teach. additionally, even with the incontrovertible fact that, in direction of the tip, once I had my examination i could have a small volume of blood, even with the undeniable fact that it definately wasn't an identical, so i could say you are able to pass into exertions VERY shortly - Congradulations!

You should call your midwife or the birthing center and ask them if you should go in because it sounds like your baby wants to meet you!!!

It may be some more of your mucos plug, that's what the Dr. told me when I called him at 3a.m. If theirs more call the on call Dr.
