i recently gave birth vaginaly 6 weeks ago and my bleeding has been heavy as to where i will have to change pads every 20-30 minutes this has happend since the begining, keeping in mind that six weeks have past and i have never experienced any browning or old blood. the blood is bright red and new everyday, and never disapates it stays heavy constantly, occationly it will seem to slow a very small amount for a day or two but then picks back up to heavy. my delivery was very fast and smooth and i feel ok mot of the time. but i have no hopes of ever stoping bleeding, im starting to be content with bleeding the rest of my life. is this normal should i be concerned...what should i do.

If there are any doctors that could contribute their info, that'd be great. This is a question for school which I can't seem to find. Thanks

I have just started seeing my seven year old daughter for the first time since she was born. I have seen her three time once for an evening about 6 hours, once for saturday and sunday, and once from friday night through sunday night. Today I got a call from social services stating there was a child protection referral made which I knew about from talking to her mom. Her mom has checked herself in to a mental hospital to get help with her bi-polar disorder. My daughter has gone to stay with her uncle for the time being. My question is in the state of Colorado can I legaly pick her up for the weekend and not return her since there is no court orderd custody and would this be the appropriate thing to do? Any thoughts or advice would be appriciated.

I just had my first sonogram, I'm around 6 weeks so you couldn't see much, but the doc said she saw fetal heartbeat activity. Is this a good sign? Is it true once you see the heartbeat the risk of miscarrage decreases? Just curious. Thanks.

It seems like my kids always move to the next size up a month (or more) early, is this normal? Like at 2 months they move from 0-3 month clothes to 3-6 months. And at 5 months they are wearing 6-9 month clothes. Or at 22 months they are already fitting into their 2T/24 month clothes. Does everyone elses kids do this, or are my kids just big?

I nanny for 2-and-a-half year old triplets, a girl and 2 boys. Their names are Sophia, Vincie, and Sammy. They are so adorable! Does anyone else nanny or babysit for multiples, or does anyone have multiples?? If so, what are their names?

I need help my boy is 11 months old and hasn't slept through the night since he was 4 months old. He wakes up around 3 times a night and wants to nurse sometimes he wakes up more like every 20 minutes tossing and turning and crying ( he starts in his crib for the first 3 hours than comes to bed with me) I know I should leave him in his crib and let him cry but that is hard I have three other kids to think about( the longest I've let him cry is 20 mins) does anybody have any good ideas

I believe they can. Anyone agree? I had a fave song when I was pregnant with my first and I played and sang it many times (I can't stop this feeling - Ally McBeal soundtrack) After baby was born then it was a song he responded to immediately. If he was crying or unsettled, he only had to hear the first few beats and he settled immediately. It was quite a soothing song.I don't know if a rowdier song would have had the same soothing effect. Anyone else had a simlilar experience or am I just imaging it?

And no comments about my taste in music, please!!

I am 36 weeks preg. and I went to the hospital two nights ago for contractions. They were a lot and they varied in pain. They couldnt get them to stop so they gave me some ambien and something else to relax my muscles. But, that didnt work either, they were still coming, it only made the pain less. They sent me home to get some sleep since they gave me ambien and I was out all day long yesterday and through the night. Last night I woke up having a bad contraction and sweating bad. I took some tylenol and went back to sleep. I woke up this morning and they are starting again. When they did check me the other night they said that I was thinning out and soft but I hadnt dilated yet, but my cervix was in position for labor. I know when they start getting stronger and longer that it could possibly be labor but how can I try and get them to stop? I want to try and keep him in there as long as I can. Has anyone went through this and how long did it take before you actually started labor?

I am NOT saying to beat the child, but I truly feel that sometimes a spanking is the only thing that gets through to the child. If I am naughty, I'll get a spanking & that is not pleasant. Just think of all the millions of generations of people before us who did get occasional spankings & they turned out fine & were not "emotionally scarred". What do you all think?

Last year I had a stillbirth :-( but now I am pregnant :-)! I am wanting some bedtime fun but all the doctors say that any poking around the birth canal should be avoided :-(. My hubby and I have improvised over the past few months but it would be good for both of us to enjoy penetration. I can understand not being able to prod around the birth canal, but what about bottom sex ?

I just bought some pre-natal vitamins that contain 800 mcg's of Folic Acid. Is that too much for a woman to take before becoming pregnant? I saw somewhere that women takin pre-natals before becoming pregnant should only take 400 mcg's. Is taking 800 mcg's too much?

Can I also add that there is a slight chance that I am pregnant.
