It seems like my kids always move to the next size up a month (or more) early, is this normal? Like at 2 months they move from 0-3 month clothes to 3-6 months. And at 5 months they are wearing 6-9 month clothes. Or at 22 months they are already fitting into their 2T/24 month clothes. Does everyone elses kids do this, or are my kids just big?

Oh yes!! I think this is normal for just about everyones kids. I'm sure there are excepts but most kids will wear a size bigger or even smaller then what their age is. My son is 4 months and wears 6 to 9 month clothes. However not in all clothes. He has a pair of Tommy jeans that are 3 to 6 months and they are a little big for him. Stuff I buy at Wal-mart tends to fit him sooner too. Sometimes its just how each company makes their clothes. I never go by age for size. Most tags will give weight/height measurements and these tend to be more accurate in judging what size to get.

My daughter does this too. Some things she has at the moment are for a 2-3 year old, and there are some 3-6 month old t-shirts that fit her still.
I think that as long as the clothes fit, it doesn't matter what age is on the label.

I don't think there really is a normal. I think one big factor is their birth weight, but I just read in a parenting magazine the other day that in the first couple months they'll reach their "destined size". Some biological factors (healthy placenta?) might have enhanced or hindered their growth, so they'll make up for it early on. Beyond that it's good if they are consistent in their percentile rankings.

My nephew was always a size or more above his age - has been consistently one of the "tall kids" in his grade. So far my baby seems to be almost right on with her sizes (although varies with different brands). My friend's baby is a month or so late getting into the size for her age.

People usually have to buy a whole size up for babies. Newborns are in 0-3 but quicky move to 3-6 by about 2 months and so on. Infant clothing never seems to be true to size.

In my experience, my kids never fit into the stores clothing sizes. Don't worry though, they stop growing so fast around age 1. My 11 month old wears 24 months and my 3 year old wears 3T.

It all depends on how the clothes are made and how big the child is. My 10 month old daughter wears anything from 12 to 18 month and my boyfreinds son is almost 3 and he wears anything from 18 to 24 month. All kids and clothing are different.

I think baby clothes run differently depending on brand, but most run a little small. My baby just turned 3mo. old on the first, and between 40-60 percentiles for height/weight (she keeps going through growth spurts where she gets longer, then fills out again), and was starting to outgrow her 0-3 clothes a couple of weeks ago. Some of her 3-6 mo. clothes are too short for her already (but still big around the waist, because she's stretching out again).
If you want to know if your kids are just "big", ask the doctor about their percentiles. As long as their height and weight are near equal (ie. both percentiles are 90% (or near there) for both height/weight, then they're probably just "big", and not overweight. Likewise, if both percentiles are near 20%, they're just "small", and probably not underweight. If there's a big discrepency between the height/weight (ie. height is 30%, but weight is 80% or vice versa), then you might want to have a talk with the doctor, but, then again, some babies are just naturally stockier or leaner. It's when they suddenly shoot up or down in weight for more than a couple of months that doctors become concerned about over- or under-feeding.

Ill all just depends on the child. All kids are different and usually that is perfectly normal. However my baby is an exception shes 2 months old and just now fitting into her 0-3. Shes been in premies and wasnt a premie. All kids grow at different rates.

Depends on the child. My 2 year old wears a 3 or 4T right now. My daughter is tall at 97th percentile for her age. But all kids are different. My mom told me that I fit into what ever size was meant for that age so guess I was average size.
