As with adolescent acne, there's no clear answer. For some time, experts have pointed to the hormones your baby received from you at the end of pregnancy as a cause of baby acne. But researchers continue to study other factors and have yet to agree on one culprit. If you take certain medications while nursing, for example, or if your baby takes certain medications, they can trigger baby acne.
Baby acne usually clears up within a few weeks.
Well, there are some things you should not do. Don't scrub. Baby acne isn't caused by dirt. In fact, too much washing can further irritate it, so don't overdo the cleansing. Simply wash your baby's face with water and some mild baby soap once a day.
Don't put creams or oils on his skin, either, because these can also make the acne worse. If your baby's acne is severe and likely to scar, his doctor may suggest an over-the-counter treatment like benzyl peroxide or even a prescription medication. But usually patience is the best course of action. Your baby's acne doesn't bother him in the least, so try not to let it bother you, either

Well, not all babies get it, but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with race. We thought our first daughter had it, but she actually had eczema. We use Aveeno baby products and they work wonderful. The doctor says they are best for all babies anyways because they are so natural. Try that out, I know some of my friend's babies did have acne and they used it too and it clears right up. Don't use baby oil on the baby either, that only clogs their pores and makes it twice as bad. Good Luck!

It's usually caused by the mother's hormones and there's really nothing that can be done. I know when my hormones are out of whack and I'm breastfeeding that my baby usually breaks out. The only thing that may help is to keep the baby's skin clean and dry, but it probably won't help a lot. It just has to work itself out. Avoid touching or picking them, as this can causing scarring.

It's called baby acne, and it's normal. Most of it will clear on it's own. I don't recommend using any type of chemical on the baby's face...maybe just wash it with some warm water...

My baby has it, too. It clears up on its own, but to help, I wash her face about 3 times a day with a warm wash cloth..no soap. That's about all you can do. Don't put any lotions or creams on it and don't pick it...it could make it much woorse or leave a scar. Just try to be paient...it'll go away soon.

It's called infant acne. All babies get it and it clears on its own. Race has nothing to do with it either. He'll be fine. Don't try to do anything to it or it might make it worse.

It will go away on its own. Keep it clean and if it does not clear, see a doctor who can suggest a cream or tell if it is skin disorder or allergy.

It's baby acne and it is very common. Most important thing is to leave it alone and don't pick at it.
