These contractions are about an hour apart and I've been having them every day for the past 2-3 wks. The nurse at my OB's office said not to worry unless I have more than 3 in an hour. I still wonder if this is normal. I did not have any of these problems with my first pregnancy. Anyone have this same thing or is there a dr or nurse out there who can provide some input?

I am trying to get my 6 month old son on sippy cups. We've tried pretty much everything nuby, gerber, and playtex. He just doesn't want to hold on...it's almost like he's to lazy to hold anything by himself. I've sat there and listen to him scream because he just doesn't want to hold the sippy cup but he's hungrey. I figured that if he knows I won't run and hold it for him he'll just hold it himself. I just don't get it...the first time we give him a new sippy cup he does just fine but then anytime after that he just wants me to hold it? Is there any advice on how to get him to slowly get him into the sippy? I've heard that some kids just find it easier to drink from a regular cup first(without a spout)? Thanks a bunch!

Does anyone know what would cause mild bleeding between periods for a woman who has a copper IUD? I've had mine for a year now, with no problems.

My period ended on August 4, and was normal. Saturday (Aug. 12) night, I noticed blood on the toilet paper after wiping myself. Bright red, mucousy blood. No pain or any other discomfort...just this bright blood. I noticed it twice that evening, and that was it...nothing since.

I'm healthy, 30 yo female, not ill in any way, and no other medical problems so to speak. This is the first this has happened.

I've checked, and the string is still there. Before I waste my ob/gyn's time, does anyone know if this is common after having an IUD for a year?

We've been married for 6yr and together for 8yrs. After 4 yrs of marriage we had problems and he left me right after baby #1 was born. We were seperated for 1 year and got back together and then we had baby # 2( both kids were planned down to the month they were born). Now baby #2 is almost 2 months old and I would really like to try for another baby once baby #2 is 1. My husband is angry and says that I am selfish...he only wants 2 kids and thats it. He says that they cost too much and he wants these 2 kids to have what we never did.....I agree but I really don't think 1 more will make that much of a difference. We have a boy and a girl and we have 2 cribs and all the baby equipment already.....whatever the baby is (he/she) will already have clothes and stuff....all we need to buy is diapers and formula.....I love children and would really like 1 more....i don't feel complete...I came from divorced parents, no siblings from the same parents........and my step mom was mean...

After a miscarriage to try to become pregnant again?

My little boy has been very crabby since birth, very whiny and never slept well - for an entire year! The Dr said he was normal and just fussy. He recently had strep throat and after taking the antibiotic for three days, the strep throat cleared up and he's been a very happy baby since. It was an immediate change, not gradual. He used to whine and "grumble" all day long. Now no whining unless he's hungry or tired (like a normal baby), and he now naps well and sleeps through the night. He even crawls up on my lap when he's tired. Before the antibiotic he would wake up 2-3 times during naps or sleep about a half hour a day, then would wake up 4-5 times at night, sometimes more. Also he would kick, pinch and bite when getting him to sleep. He now plays with toys, entertains himself, laughs and is a joy. All our friends and family have commented so it's an extremely noticeable change. Could the antibiotic have cleared up something he's had for an entire year, or does that seem far fetched?

I am 34 weeks pregnant and I was just wondering when the baby usually drops. Also did anyone else experience a lack of movement once you got so far along. He is moving good and I record it on a kick chart, but it seems as if the farther along I get the less he moves around and doesn't seem to be kicking as hard. The doc said everything was fine, but I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this?

My daughter is 3 1/2 years old. I am having the worst time trying to get her to listen to me. She doesn't do what she is asked, and she doesn't eat her dinner, no matter how hard I try to get her to eat, all she wants is junk food, sometimes she goes for a long time without eating anything, because I refuse to give her just junk food, I figure, if she is that hungrey she will eat regular food. Sometime's it works sometimes it doesn't.
She is driving me absolutley crazy...
She doesn't go to bed until about on average 11pm, and she just now started to sleep in her own bed. I know she has always been very spoiled as a baby, and still is to this day, but I just have a problem with discipline. I put her in timeout constantley throughout the day, I do not believe in spanking, so if that is one of your suggestions don't bother answering.. , I am a single, young mother, and I want to know what other mothers do to discipline their child. OR reward their child. Thanks so much!

Does anyone else hate when they see little kids drinking caffeinated pop? Don't parents know that ceffeinated drinks can eat away at your bones and actually create holes in your intestines? I mean Coke can clean rust off of metal--what makes parents think it's okay to give there kids that stuff? What do you think? Should people have to be a certain age before they should be allowed to have caffeinated drinks? Kinda like alcoholic beverages?

I am looking for some good tips and exercise routines that I can do while I am pregnant. I am only about four weeks along and this is my third child. I had planned to try to get into better shape before I got pregnant and lose some weight, but it didn't work out that way. I am obviously not looking to lose any weight because I know this isn't a good time, but I am wondering if there area any exercises that would be safe and healthy that I could do to possibly put my body into better shape before I have the baby. any help is appreciated. thanks.

I have been having really weird dreams lately. I heard that it was because of horomones during pregnancy. Is this true? I had a dream the other night that I was 35 weeks pregnant and I delivered the baby by peeling the skin off my stomach one layer at a time. The last layer looked like a water balloon with a baby inside. Anyone else have dreams like this?
