I am looking for some good tips and exercise routines that I can do while I am pregnant. I am only about four weeks along and this is my third child. I had planned to try to get into better shape before I got pregnant and lose some weight, but it didn't work out that way. I am obviously not looking to lose any weight because I know this isn't a good time, but I am wondering if there area any exercises that would be safe and healthy that I could do to possibly put my body into better shape before I have the baby. any help is appreciated. thanks.

Walking and swimming are what my doctor recommended as the safest exercises for pregnancy, but AmericanBaby.com and BabyCenter.com also have very good information.

Also, you might talk to your doctor about it. He/she may know of some good pregnancy yoga classes you could take.

Good luck!

Walking is the best exercises you can do while you are pregnant. You can take the kids long with you. And it is free.
If you live in the country or have access to a great walking trail here is a great tip it will keep you moving and your kids interested.
Before your walk give your kids a bag, or basket each. Then along your walk they can pick up interesting things they find along the way...A feather, a leaf, an interesting rock, that sort of thing. You can talk about what they found along they way, what it is, why a leaf changes colours, that sort of thing. Then when you get home you can do some sort of craft with the things that you make, or look up on-line what kind of leaves they have found.
You could even make it a scavenger hunt...find 3 maple leaves, 2 acorns, that sort of thing. It gets the whole family moving, outside and having fun. Trust me walking is the best exercises while you are pregnant.
