I just found out I am pregant (I'm only on week 4.) I know the regular don't drink, don't smoke, limit caffeine, etc. What are some things I should be watching out for other than that. What about lifting? Is it safe to lift now? Is there a safe way to do kitty litter? I'm taking care of foster kittens and am finding homes for them, but I can't totally avoid the kitty litter because my husband is often sent off on business trips. Today I covered my face with a hankerchief while I did it. I'm also concerned because I had been taking cough syrup at night before I got pregnant. I know there is a little bit of alcohol in cough syrup so I'm a little concerned. What medicines should I be avoiding? I've been told that diet drinks aren't good for you while your pregant (or anything with artificial sweetners) is this true? Any information or helpful websites would be appreciated. Thank you

ok so its been 3 years since i was pregnate. i had 3 babys each nine months apart.

I know i'm not preg (or at least not far enuf for movement)
ever since i had my last child i have still felt a baby moving inside of me. And its not just me others can put their hands on my belly and feel it too. Once i pulled up my shirt and you could actually see the point where it looked exactly like a baby foot poking out (as if i were about 6 months preg and the baby kicked its leg out and made that funny looking hump) and then it went back down and back up again while We were watching. What is this?? is it my body remebering being pregnate??? Could it be possible for my body parts to not know i wasnt preg anymore??
(oh and its not gas, I've all ready had this ruled out)

I'm due Tuesday for a c-section.Anyways the last couple times I went pee it hurt so bad.Felt like I was peeing forever.Is this normal??Should I call my doctor???

ok so i have been ttc and so today i was suposed to get my period and i didnt, after two years of ttc i used my first morning urine and took the test it was the brand equate and it came out positive!!! is there any chances that it might b a false?

The 2 boys i babysat just tonight are 6 and 4. This is the 2nd time I have babysat for their family. The 1st time I had no problem putting them to bed at 8:00 like their mom said. Then tonight their bedtime was 9:00 and when I tucked them in they kept on coming back out and playing. When i finally got through to them that they didn't need to be playing they calmed dowm and laid queitly in their beds, but they still wouldn't fall asleep. At 10:30 their parents came home and they still were awake. Parents would ou be mad if your kids werent asleep, they didn't seem nmad but I just want to hear other opinions.

I just had a miscarriage a week ago and my doctor never wanted me to come in to get an ultrasound or a pelvic exam or anything to make sure that everything was ok (to see if I would need a D&C, etc.)?? Is it normal to have a miscarriage and not get checked out afterward or should I consider a new doctor??? Please, anyone with experience..did you get checked out after a miscarriage or did the doctor do nothing???

And my stomach keeps growing,and something keeps moving continiously, I don't know what it is?????????,since all my test have been negative,oh and also I haven't had a period since 04/06? 2 weeks ago I went to ER,took another TEST and it also was NEGATIVE, the doc, did not check me, he just said I had a TRACK (urinary) infection and gave me some pills? I still dont get my period and, Is just getting worse?

I'm noticing that there are few books about pregnancy for teens outside of a school library. I'm thinking of books like "Help, I'm Gonna Be A Father!" or "Help, I'm Gonna Be A Mother!" that has information and helpful tips without what many books have of "Your husband should be..." or "what to do for your wife..." Do you think there are teens out there who would be interested in this? I've seen a few questions now that ask about good books for the "I've gotten myself into this, now what do I do" pregnancy situations. I'm even thinking of a book of "I'm Pregnant, Now What Do I Do?" that highlights different options and ways of telling parents. Though that one is likely to end up in a library rather than a book store, I think.
