I also had cramps, like I was getting a period, when I was pregnant. Unless you are taking fertility shots, the test should not really give a false positive. Web sites for free clinics would depend on where you live.

Try this one:

Don't get freaked out about the abortion info-they can also hook you up with places that can confirm pregnancy and do ultrasounds.

Good luck!

There is a such thing as a false negative, but NEVER a false positive.

The PT is designed to pick up HCG in your urine. That positive line will NOT come up without it being pregnant. HCG is only present in your urine when you have conceived.

I hope that this is a call for congrats, but even if it's not, go to the doc.

P.S. The implantation of the fertalized egg on the uterine wall will cause mild cramping, akin to that of a normal menstrual period.

Positive means there is or was an embryo in there pumpin' out HCg--if not a placenta (depending on how late you are). Unless you were taking fertility drugs that might register on the test, there is only one way your dreams might not be coming true at this point, and that's an early miscarriage, which can happen regardless of test results.

So be extra careful, and congratulations! Cramps COULD be bad, so get yourself checked out ASAP!

false positives are very rare on a home pregnancy test. go see your doctor for a blood test right away to be sure.. And Congratulations, I just found out I was pregnant 3 days ago! My first baby! I couldn't be more thrilled! I finally understand the excitement and why this moment in life should be cherished!

I think it is more likely to get a false negative than a false positive. Those tests are made to detect a hormone. Unless you got a bad one, how would it detect something that isn't there?

I'd go to your doctor or free clinic for a test.

Congratulations. It is VERY EXTREMELY rare to get a false + on a home test. Mild cramping is normal. The uterus is engorging with blood to provide nurishment for the baby, and will help with the formation of the placenta. Take your prenatal vitamins and make your first OB appointment.

It is very unusual to have a false positive pregnancy test (as long as you read it within 10 minutes or so). Congratulations!!!!!
BTW, cramping is actually a sign of early pregnancy-it;s the uterus making room for baby. Call your Dr. to check things over. Best of luck!!!!
