Most women can do light to moderate exercise safely during pregnancy. That being said, the best person to consult in this matter would be your OB/midwife. He/she will have a more thorough medical history, and a complete knowledge of what is currently going on with your pregnancy. Good luck!

Being active during pregnancy is optimal if you were active prior to it. This is NOT the time to take up a new sport.
Avoid any exercise that raises your heartrate above what your OB/GYN deems healthy. There is significant data showing that an excessively high heartrate can compromise the fetal blood flow.
Most OB/GYNs recommend yoga, walking or swimming as a form of exercise because you can practice it without the high heartrate. Also, gentle exercise in pregnancy will benefit you in labor and in your delivery.
What an exciting time for you! Congratulations on your new pregnancy!!!

You really don't have control over your weight. Exercising is great, but don't diet or try to lose weight. You already know that by now, but don't be ashamed if you get big again. The average women gains something like 30 pounds during pregnancy. Get used to it.
Exercising is really great though. There's yoga for pregnant women, swimming, walking, etc. If you were active before, you can sure as heck keep up with your schedule. Just be sure to talk with your doctor just to be sure.
I did karate for the first 6 months of my pregnancy!

Low impact aerobics are good when pregnant as is swimming and both burn lots of calories. Walking also. Towards the end you'll cut back a little due to your size and the pressure on your back, but you can work out lightly to moderately until the end. Just don't start with a bang. Work up to it.

I worked out the entire time I was pregnant with my first baby. I barely gained anything.
I've been working out with this one, too (I'm five months), and I don't plan to stop.
I stopped the weight lifting, though. That's going to wait until after Gracie is born. NO HEAVY LIFTING!
If you're prone to complications, though, ask your OB/GYN first.

Never start any new exercise program other than walking without consulting your OB/GYN. Some exercises, especially those that require you to lay on your back can harm the baby,
